Even after all this time and even after Sasuke actively tried killing one of his friends. Sure, they only meet by chance but Sasuke wasn't hesitating in trying to kill Gaara. I know what Kishimoto is going for here, but imo he went overboard with it. Like, let's be real here...if you lost contact with someone for 2 years after that person actively tried to kill you multiple times during your last encounter with each other...remember the screwdriver he put Naruto in during their final fight in OG Naruto or how he tried burning him or how he tried stabbing him with his Chidori smirking while doing so? And how Naruto only survived all of that because the Ninetails said "No" to Sasuke? After all that you see that person for the first time after 2 years and he is barely recognizable...afterwards you find out that he joined the worlds biggest criminal organization and is ready to kill people on sight. You get clearly told that he is a criminal now who could potentially kill hundreds of innocent lives, including your loved ones btw. Would you still think to yourself "How can I save this guy?" instead of "How can I save my loved ones from this deranged lunatic?" Narutos mindset *is* nice in fiction, but in reality it doesn't even remotely hold up. And to me Narutos obsession with Sasuke by this point borders on being immersion breaking. I get it. I get the connection between these 2 characters. But you have to look at the bigger picture. Keeping Sasuke alive by this point can potentially result in many many casualties. Keep in mind that *Gaara* could've become such a casualty during the 5-Kage-meeting. It's why in reality we don't let criminals wander the streets and such a thing as lifelong prison sentences exist. I mentioned this previously, but jeeez...why does Sakura still love Sasuke? Why did she love him in the first place? It just doesn't make any sense. Especially compared to how Naruto has always been kind and supportive towards her, even to his own detriment. 2 years have past since they last saw each other and the first thing Sasuke does after she sees him again for the first time is trying to stab Naruto in the back. And she *still* loves him afterwards?! That is insane. Something I also mentioned previously multiple times... All of this could've been written better in an more believable way while keeping the outcomes the same. That moment between Naruto and Gaara is one of the best moments in the show in my opinion. It showcases perfectly the mindset Naruto is in by this point and it's perfectly executed. What many people do not realize about this arc is that ALMOST every character is in the wrong here in some kind of way, including Naruto. And that scene showcases this perfectly, because he detaches himself from a friend reaching out towards him. Yes, it's not just Sakura who acted moronic (according to the fanbase). During this arc *everyone* is acting moronically. But somehow the fanbase forgives everyone else except Sakura. Really weird double standard, but oh well... The only one who actually showcases great wisdom and intellect during this arc is Gaara.

2025-02-06 14:40:40 +0000 UTCfirst time we are seeing Kisame in action properly and not just a fraction :D he is showing he is quite the beast himself :) unlike Sasuke and co he is a pro at this :) if only Samehada didnt cuck him this would have been easy :P fun fact Sabu is based on the Japan's most famous enka singer, Saburō Kitajima :) meanwhile Ponta the giant raccoon was salvaged from an unused concept of a bear-like pet raccoon named Pochi, together with a character called Kintaro they were supposed to appear instead of Haku and Zabuza :) Pochi is now the dog Inari had as a kid :D the samurai are kinda similar to Stormtroopers thats true xD lets be honest Sai still needs to work on his social awareness and how he interacts :P but he is a homie :) so Danzo got a Yamanaka and Aburame dudes as his guards thats cool :) I like their little fight against Madara it was a nice demonstration of what everybody is capable of, obviously Madara outmaneuvering them :D perfect reaction to Danzo's arm honestly xD
