* How to connect to the Discord on Mobile & Desktop - Guide

Hey guys - we’ve received a lot of questions on how to connect to the server so I hope this helps everyone!!! My amazing mods helped put this together for you all. I hope this finally answers all your questions and you can join in on the fun in there 🖤☺️

__*On Mobile:*__

- First, select your browser of choice. (If using an iPhone, go with Safari since the process may redirect you there anyways.)

Now, sign into your Patreon account through the BROWSER. Do not use the Patreon App - it lacks to the function to connect to Discord.

- Once in your account, go to "Settings".

Then swipe until you see the "Connected apps" tab.

- Here you'll see the apps you can connect to.

Tap the Discord option, then log into your discord account on the next screen.

- After you enter your login info, select "Authorize" on the next screen, and then "Open".

- (You may or may not get a white screen once you finish the last step. This is alright.)

Finally, go back to the browser version of your patreon account, and under the "Connected apps" tab select Discord. Now you should see your available servers, and the option to connect or leave them. 🫶

__*On Desktop:*__

- On your browser, log into Patreon.

Under the main menu, go to "Settings", then click "More".

Click "Connected apps"

- Now click the Discord option, then "Connect".

- Enter your Discord login info and click "Authorize" on the next screen.

- Now your Patreon and Discord accounts should be connected. You can check this by going to "Connected apps" again, and clicking Discord. Under this you should also see your available servers to join and the option to connect to or leave them.

If there are any issues connecting to Discord or the server after following these steps, try to disconnect and reconnect to Discord again. If issues persist, then send a dm.

__*P.S.*__ 

Once you've connected to the server, make sure to go to our Rules channel under our Server Guide and acknowledge you've read them by clicking/tapping the butterfly emote reaction at the bottom

(The Butterfly reaction count will go up by one, then back down automatically.) This will drop your *newbiegenin* role and give you access to all the channels. While an extra step, this measure helps us keep the server safe from bots and spam being posted, and also confirms that you are aware of and will follow our server rules.
