2024-12-31 01:10:14 +0000 UTCThis episode is incredible because of the tragedy of Naomi's death but also because we get a hint to how the life and death works in this world. Ryuk has revealed he can see the name and the lifespan of people above their head. At the end, what prompted him to laugh so maniacally? I believe that was the moment Naomi decided that there was nothing she wouldn't do to stop Kira, which sealed her fate. Ryuk saw her remaining lifespan go from say, 60 years, and plumet to mere hours in a moment. That's when he knew Light had won and Naomi would walk to her death that day.

Her death is so tragic because she has a lot of things L is missing and she never got to show how great she is even before she dies. She would have cracked the case wide open and lead to a win for L. Both Light and L are way too arrogant.

The fear on her face when he tells her he's Kira right after she revealed her real name is so well done. This one act shows just how evil Light truly is. Everything Light has done up until that moment had a purpose behind it and could almost be justified. But the only reason he revealed himself to Naomi was to torment her and see her reaction when he knew that she knew there was nothing she could do about it.

By this point L's accomplishments are far more impressive in my opinion. If Light didn't kill the L double on live TV L would've had a way harder time. But Lights ego didn't allow the L double to life. Not because he felt threatened...but because his god complex is just to big

2024-12-22 22:35:02 +0000 UTCL is low key like Bruce Wayne, he also has his Alfred :) Ryuk just having the time of his life xD this was quite an intense little battle, lot of brain power struggle :) loved that scene in the end when Light finally got her, how the whole mood changed, the snow started falling, when he just straight up told her who he is and she walked off to her death, chilling :P ye Light did say he has more than the god of death on his side :)

At this point any redemption for Light is obviously far outside the window Also, I don't think Ryuk should be judged for dropping the Death Note. We don't really know how Shinigami view the human world and with their endless lifespans and their knowledge of the afterlife...Shinigami most likely view the earthly human life just as a TV show for entertainment. Very similar to how we view Death Note, the series And this might be controversial, but Light also shouldn't be judged for *testing* the Death Note. Because his first test saved the lives of many hostages + he was more so testing it as a joke. And his second test was literally to prohibit a se~crime happening right in front of him. Honestly, him killing the bicker and saving the girl might be the most justifiable thing he has done throughout the series. Once he realizes the book is really what it says it is he starts doing unjustifiable things. This also perfectly showcases how he was actually pure at the beginning of the story but the power of the book corrupted him really fast...because he was bored
