2024-10-05 14:38:34 +0000 UTCI think what makes this series so great and unfortunately short is that most episodes are one-off, unique, and vastly different than each other, plus the soundtrack is just incredible. Given the series came out more than 20 years ago, a lot of the issues and topics it covers are still relevant today, which speaks to its greatness. The series isn't super emotional like a lot of great anime, but honestly it feels a lot more like real life where the world is cold and most ppl just do their own thing to get by or ahead, and typically anime is an escape/outlet from that whereas this series mirrors it.
