dialogue plot hole. Lugner speaks like he doesn't recognize/forgot Frieren's face when the two of them already met in the middle of the city. Either that or he has that "Makima doesn't perceive faces but smells" whatever.

2024-09-04 13:55:48 +0000 UTCAbout Frieren being able to easily defeat Draht using her Mana - Mages are technically never "unarmed" even if you take away their staff.. Staff's are used as focus, and potentially an amplifier to that power, to channel their spells through. But a mage as powerful and well trained over centuries as Frieren, her control and raw power without that staff is still incredible. Warriors in this world seem similarly scaled. Warriors like Eisen and Stark have incredible durability, speed and strength that actually makes them at their peak be able to fight and beat any mage or demon we see in this show. It all depends on the tactics used. People forget rather quickly that the very first real fight Stark ever had is killing a Solar Dragon, which is on the same level as a higher demon. He just lacks confidence and experience of Fern and Frieren. Also he suffers from the fact that he was essentially raised/trained by the world's most powerful warrior, Eisen. His sense of power scaling is off because he doesn't know he's actually one of the strongest humans in the entire world. He's only had Eisen, The Dragon, and the incredibly powerful Demons here to gauge his own strength against - at least up until this point of his life...
