2024-08-03 19:13:16 +0000 UTCEndeavor to Shoto = unforgivable I agree with you 100%. Bakago to everyone is also unforgivable to me. He's just your basic thug bully. I know they're showing little glimpses of other sides to his character and they're showing some character growth, but none of that matters to me. He's a bully and the way he treats people is unforgiveable. I've seen the end of season 4 now and that aspect of his character is still exactly the same as in season one. It's that aspect of his character that most needs to change for me to begin to like him but it's the one part of him that has remained locked in place. I can't even imagine what they'd have to do now to make me like Bakago. I don't even want him to apologise because I find it unforgivable anyway. I guess it would have to start with him acknowledging his past behaviour and changing for the future, but that's obviously not enough. He would have to do something for each of his victims to demonstrate his genuine regret before I'd start to like him, but I can't for the life of me imagine what that would be. He's interesting as a villain, though a little two-dimensional so far. I keep waiting for him to show me something, because you keep mentioning how your audience tells you he's gonna turn it around, but I just haven't seen him do anything decent yet for his fellows. If he doesn't become a villain outright then he's going to become a hero just like Endeavor: respected for his power but feared and avoided for his personality.

2024-08-02 16:59:43 +0000 UTCi know, i know, everyone's got their thoughts on sub v dub and all the "real" anime fans only watch subs. but as stellar as this episode is subbed, i think the dub hits even harder. if you haven't watched this dubbed you should definitely check it out. i really like the interpretation "it's yours! your quirk not his!" more than deku just asking "it's your power, isn't it?" either way, this episode is SO GOOD. 🧊🔥

Also keep in mind, that despite Shoto's abuse, he is pretty much already more powerful then a lot of pros. He also has good judgment and honor. I'm saying that more to highlight what an incredible person Shoto became in spite of everything that happened to him. And think of Endeavor as a Bakugo that never grew up.
