I for some reason really like the english dub of this scene more than the sub, but that may just be me.

2025-10-04 18:16:57 +0000 UTCBesides looking absolutely amazing, All Might vs Nomu also marks the directorial debut of Hakuyo Go, one of the most talented people to currently work in the animation industry. Around him, a team made up mostly of freelancers formed, commonly known as the "Hakuyo Go Team". They are mostly young animators (or were, its been about eight years since this episode aired), who are known for very experimental animation. Since then, they went on to be the go to people for doing the standout episodes of an anime. The exact members are not fixed and in general they are more like a loose group of friends, who regurlarly work together. A recent example of their work would be episodes 16 & 17 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season Two, different members of the team also regularly worked on Mob Psycho 100.

As a former D1 athlete, the themes, struggles, and mindset of Midoriya/All Might and so many other characters resonates with me. Considering your professional career, I know you can relate as well to having to perservere and grind in the shadows to achieve whatever it is that you want. Or should I say, to Go Plus Ultra <3

2024-07-21 18:06:30 +0000 UTCFake mahito wasn't wrong about Deku's punches. He'd have killed anyone but nomu if he'd connected. I don't think he realized it at the time, he was just reacting to save All Might, and reacting is survival. But its the reason the heroes are so strictly and carefully regulated. The whole thing is a shaky truce between society and heroes. Lets be real, All Might could topple every government and become emperor of the world if he wanted. Back in his prime. Governments pretend to be in charge, making laws and policing justice. But its only the good nature and strict indoctrination of duty and professionalism that keeps it all together. Modern media would also play a huge role, every action a hero takes would be scrutinized, and any sign of corruption or wrong doing and they'd be ostracized and cut away to prevent the infection from spreading.
