The fact that season 1 had few deaths was important to building a sense of security, then he strips it away and reminds us this is literal war at this point. And no body comes out of war unscathed. You get through the normal stuff pretty unscathed, but when the shit really hits the fan its never good.

When he says "you helped me believe that I'm not alone" with a slight smile on his face.. fuck that gets me. Let's try to put ourselves in Yuji's shoes at that moment: his body just murdered a chunk of Shibuya and Geto's daughters, witnessed his mentor be murdered inhumanely, and now is tasked with taking down a monster of a special grade curse.. All of this happened within the span of ~15 minutes... just to have his sister murdered right in front of his eyes too.. Yuji does NOT deserve that </3

I dont think I stopped crying for like five minutes after the episode ended. Kugisaki was such an awesome character and her friendship with Yuji and Megumi was just so pure. But she went out exactly the way that she lived her life, and that's a better death than most in her profession get.

I haven't watched this ep in a long time, forgot how good it was until the ultra death flag-flashback of Nobara that takes up the remaining half of the ep. Still hoping she's NOT dead and it's just author's unpleasant way of writing her out of the story.

Which is thrilling and terrifying in equal measure because it means literally anything could and will happen. Kugisaki heading back into shibuya makes me think of what Gojo told Megumi about dying in battle, that there's wasting it, and there's spending it when you risk your life. Kugisaki definitely spent it well, if she hadn't gotten resonance off yuji probably would have died from that strike, and definitely wouldn't have had the chance to rain fury uninterrupted. She knew exactly what she was doing when she went back into that hell scape.

2024-06-28 16:22:01 +0000 UTCTragically one of the ONLY two times all season where I think it made it a lil worse to take out the narration from the manga 😭 so many people got mad at Nobara for “not moving” cause they put it in slowmo AND took out the narration of the fact mahito made the clone Nobara was fighting go behind his own body in her blind spot at the same time as her turning the corner and then within like 1 or 2 secs for her she gets hit unlike the 24 seconds we have to see it coming 😭
