My brain just shut down at how incredible a spectacle it was, and that didn't have any of the blu-ray additions. Easily one of the greatest episodes of anime I've ever seen.

There is a frame of Yuji reacting before regaining control of his body, but it’s after Sukuna kills Haruta and drops Megumi at Shoko. It’s also the last frame of 119, which to me just feels like a teaser for 120, where Yuji regains control on the very first page. I think it works in the Manga, and would work in the anime if that was the end of the episode, but where they put it just felt out of place to me

Its like during the earlier part of the season when Gojo is telling the girl "We will try to save your maid but if you get in the way we'll leave you behind." all serious to them smash cutting to them at the beach. or the guy who tried attacking Geto and suddenly sees his dog. In the manga they still have these hard cuts that are there purposefully.

Gojo was teaching Megumi that relying on that trump card of summoning Mahoraga wasn't going to cut it. Megumi lacked the confidence in himself to reach greater heights with his own strength and not relying on Mahoraga. "There's a difference between dying to win and risking death to win". Glad you realized that all of the times prior to this event, when we see Megumi hold his hands on the wheel and chant the summoning ritual, it was basically Megumi ready to lose it all and sacrafice himself. This series is absolutely brilliant and you don't really get to appreciate it all until rewatching it. As always, love the passion and emotion in your reactions. Keep it up <3

When this episode initially aired and Specialz comes on at the end during Yuji's break down, it was kinda of a split reaction in the fan base. However, once people realized that Specialz is from the POV of the curses, it seems a lot more fitting in that situation. Almost as if the curses are laughing at Yuji's dispair. Just sort of a glimpse at how dark, twisted, and out of the norm this series really is if you haven't realized by now Poor Yuji man </3

Bro is really suicidal at this point. Had he actually decided to use it the first time he would’ve ended the series before it even begin

Been really enjoying the reactions and happy to see the Yuji love is still kicking. I seen so many people use this scene at the end to discredit Yuji as a good MC, people just dont understand he is a teenager pretty much and has only been doing this for a few months. Ofc his body being used to commit genocide is gonna effect him, I would call that lazy writing other wise lmao.

2024-06-19 02:51:16 +0000 UTCit's only about 1 minute of additions after Sukuna slaps the flying arm away. Then another 30 seconds or so after Makora breaks out of the pool. But there's a lot more that's infinitely clearer without the dimming and ghosting and certain parts were redrawn, like the cable wrapping around Makora and bits during the domain expansion. Some shots are also very very slightly slowed or more wide to be clearer than the initial release. Oh and I forgot they added much better flame effects for Fuga.

Not to mention being just 15, but we'll see from here on how he's able to cope with the insane life of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer. The double upload is so appreciated, despite how painful it is lol. Also I imagine that Sukuna poster will be a haunting reminder in the background for a good while

Heavens forbid you accidently bump into him on the subway otherwise you'll hear "Sacred treasure, swing, and ring..." 😂 in regards to his technique, think of it like Pokemon. You have to beat the summon before you're able to use it. However if you don't beat it on your own, the ritual doesn't count. So most 10 shadows users basically use it as a suicide move instead, since none of them have been able to beat Mahoraga 1 on 1.

Also, just to clarify, what sukuna did against jogo, and what sukuna did against Mahoraga are "different", with the difference being the domain. And don't try too hard to wrap your mind around sukuna's domain, sukuna does what he wants is basically the explanation to that one. He's the best for a reason. Peak reaction, but the roller coaster isn't over, isn't even the biggest climax to come.

This is an absolute roller coaster of an episode, I am certain your reaction is exactly what the directors and animators wanted. In regards to Megumi being a suicidal maniac to win a fight is 100% correct. Gojo even says this to him in s1, that because of his trump card he thinks he can resolve any situation at the cost of his life. However this guy was about to use it on Todo... so he needs to get a less destructive trump card lol.

Later in the fight at 20:44m Sukuna uses a feint for the first time and at 21:19, Mahoraga adapts to that and uses his own feint. Sukuna taught the Divine general how to lie. That's why he had that satisfied smile. And that's why the narrator calls Sukuna's domain a "Truly" divine feat unlike the fake divine that Mahoraga is supposed to be.

2024-06-18 19:03:07 +0000 UTCGoated ep + reaction, couple thoughts: -you’ll probably see most people refer to Makora as Mahoraga, that’s what it’s called in the manga -the cut to Yuji after Sukuna fires his arrow has always felt like an editing error to me, the fact that it’s still there in the blu-ray is super odd to me because I’ve never seen someone watch that and not been confused -The blu-ray adds SO much to the fight, there were a lot of transition moments that I think were cut in the original, so the fight felt choppy at times. This version felt super smooth and also improved on some scenes that were already there but you could tell were unfinished

Makora was summoned in the battle between the head of the gojo family and the zenin family 400 (+-)years ago, it’s like a suicide attack to take out ur opponent and yourself. The ritual is basically trying to subjugate Makora to your will, but none could do it, so they use it as a sort of suicide attack
