Each character has their own reason for what they're doing and not everyone gets to see their goals and dreams come true. Not everyone will have the luxury of wrapping up their own stories or have a happy ending. As daunting and depressing as it is, I think it's beautifully done with Mechamaru here

Typically ghosting & dimming don't take away much from a series, but WOW JJK benefits SO much from the blu-ray version and you're lucky to have that as your first experience! Veils are barriers that can be dropped over areas of ground, it can be as big or as small as you want. Veils only affect things that contain cursed energy, remember even normal people still have tiny amounts of it. The exact parameters or properties of a veil are determined by the castor, and can include as many or as few parameters as you wish. The strength of a veil is affected by the castor, but also by the number or specificity of the parameters. For example, in the exchange event, the veil cast only kept Gojo out, which meant it was really strong. Similar to how Geto cast a veil trapping Mechamaru inside it. So the first veil cast over Shibuya only keeps regular people in, sorcerers can move freely the barrier and so can the assistant supervisors, who are acting as communication runners. A sorcerer tells them something, and then they run outside the veil and use their phones. Like I said earlier, veils can be custom tailored to your needs, exclude sorcerers, or cursed tools, let them come in but not out, keeps specific people from going in or out. They're very adaptable.

Glad to see you take the time to piece things together. Thereβs a lot to come, and while surface level enjoyment is still possible with JJK going forward, being able to understand the complexity is very rewarding IMO.

It's a major event so every sorcerer available is on duty. -Special Grade 1 ranked sorcerers ARE NOT special grades. They are just grade 1's that are ranked outside of the jujutsu school system. Yes, it's dumb.

I think Gege was giving some homage to Gundam and AOT with Mecamaru's mech, JJK mech, love it! It was subtle, but when Geto said "this maybe the moment I get to..." he was thinking about absorbing Mahito cuz Mecamaru was putting up a strong fight and Geto obviously can absorb curses.

It's up to you if you wanna pay attention to them. The show is pretty easy to follow even if you ignore them, but taking note of the timestamps will make certain small things a little easier to follow.
