Just one season but it’s the first anime I could get my husband into and we are just fatal for it and always searching for it in stores. Another (I feel) more niche one would be “Erased”. Such depth and a good twist at the end and just generally an anime that has always stuck with me and I binged in one sitting!

2024-05-20 02:14:23 +0000 UTCI have a recommendation for your free time. There is this really cute animated show that’s almost entirely on YouTube for free. It’s a Chinese animation but it was made and voiced by one person. Eventually near the end, they started hiring more voice actors, but the original person who animates it all did like 12 voices for most of the early episodes. I say your free time because most episodes range from 5-8 minutes long. There’s like 40 episodes and it’s a super cute story about a magic cat being adopted by little girl and how the two learn about each other. It has some cool Chinese mythology sprinkled in and a lot of pop culture references. The 40 episodes are split between two seasons, and I would recommend watching the movie between the first and second season (movie after episode 28). The movie was made because the series became extremely popular in China and it has full budget for insane animation, music, and voice actors. The movie is a prequel and elevates the story in the show from something you love to something you won’t ever forget. The movie would be a nice surprise for your Patreon because it’s a great movie to react to and your audience would thank you for introducing them to it. But the show I would keep for yourself. It’s subbed and can be a little quick, but you learn to adjust pretty fast and it gets really interesting. It’s called The Legend of Luo Xiaohei… almost forgot to include the name 😂. Fire Force and Tokyo Ghoul may be better options for standard shonen. Nichijou for comedy and absurdity.

I agree with some of dissection of SAO abridged vs SAO original because it's FAIR with the cirtiques without just HATING... Yes it can be brutal sometimes but it even mocks those who hate it for no reason because the original story was groundbreaking as an isekai. You can see that the writer WANTED to love SAO but people's hate of SAO just made it impossible for people to just suspend disbelieff and watch

I will no censor, i will no sugar coat things, so shut up and move on if u are gonna spoiled lol: It's so refreshing to see someone "get it". I also watched SAO when i was in my early teens. so maybe i have some nostalgia that hid away some of the silly harem stories and "everyone loves raymond, oh i mean kirito" mindset... but that's kinda a story beat that many NEWER animes STILL do, and yet they dont get the heat that SAO got for it. I will admit that there's a couple of videos that i watched about "why is sao abridged better than sao parts 1and2" and i admit some of those are decent points IN HINDSIGHT, but not enough to complete dump on a story... And season 2, the elves story, i mean some people hated on it because of the cousin-incestuous beat thing there, but marrying first cousins is a socially acceptable thing in japan, hell it's even less taboo where i come from (lebanon, not exactly accepting but less "weird"), and so maybe that never really triggered any "eww" feels to me as a teen growing up? I wasn't a fan of the GGO fights and the story was OK, BUT sinon's character development? HELLO? and then they do a small callback to the laughin coffin folks and you're like "oh yeah, man those guys sounded like a big deal in SAO s1, sucks that we never got to know them more..." and then they hit you with the reveals in GGO and alicization and underworld and you're like OH SHI.... this was a long con... The problem i think is that the show tested its audience's patience by not "coming back" to some of the story beats more often.. even as a few reminders every few episodes, but instead they left gaps between checking up on them.. like kayaba's ghost... when i first watched war of underworld , i had to stop and go " wait... kayaba? a ghost? but .. how. huh?" And now that i'm wathcing the show again from start, im like OMFG this was a setup this entire time but i FORGOT about it... And then people complain about Eugeo's scene where the 2 girls are getting LITERALLY raped and it got so much drama and backlast that the current crunchyroll and other platforms dont even show the original scene anymore and is just "implied". and people, much like in season2's tentacles/asuna thing, started crying like "omagerd this is so silly and creepy pervy, why?"/// ehm.. maybe because the tentacles scene was supposed to make you FEEL cringe to the point where you would probably BEG kirito to be a murderer and kill sugo but then he choses the high road, the same high road that would end up defining him in GGO and alicization of never leaving someone behind... and the same high road of him NOT wanting to kill another "human" ...until.... we get to the very NEXT scene of rape by the 2 students of his 2 diciples, and eugeo had to literally fight his internal rulings to BREAK .. the scene HAD to be gruesome and scary and dramatic to JUSTIFY eugeon breaking and to also justify kirito just come down with absolute justice and slicing and dicing the idiots... He trusted the authorities in the real world to do the work so he doesnt kill sugou.. but he knew he couldnt trust the same flawed authorities system in underworld so he had to step up and lead them to a safer world where the rules make sense and primarily are put to protect the innocent... And THAT is then why "200yrs white kirito" at the very end of war of underworld is now a scary entity if someone tries to threatten his world, even the kirito we know... because now you can see where his mindset evolved over the years, and it ALL started with the asuna tentacles scene for example (if not earlier). This show had a LOT of setup but it paid off too early so haters gonna hate.. but if you sit down and break down "Why am i supposed to hate it" , most people fail to give a reason or they cite things they heard that other shows STILL do and dont get as much flack, it's dumb... and that's why im hoping this shows up as a patreon exclusive.

2024-05-16 01:13:34 +0000 UTCI never got the hate for SAO. I was fairly young when I watched the first season and it had a profound effect on me going forward. I liked season 2 despite what most people said, and I read all the books up until alicization, which was actually were they ended the first time I read them through. I'm a devote fan of the progressives, and check regularly for updates on the next volume. All of that said, when the first Aliceization book came out I actually stayed away because of how it started, I liked how things had "ended" in season 2. But I finally went back on a whim, and holy shit Aliceization is the pinnacle of the series. All the hate season 2 gets gets washed away when you realize its all this grand character and story building storyline just to get to that point. I'm just reaching the end of Aliceization in the books now, after a total reread, and I cannot be more thrilled to get to what comes after. What a thought provoking and deep series by the end. Absolutely phenomenal.

People at some point saw that the youtube algorithm of "lets hate on SAO" netted them more views so they all jumped on that hype train.. When in facto SAO Alicization and War of Underworld is one of the most beautiful and sad and well animated stories out there, and none of it would have worked without the original ground leg work that the first 2 seasons had to put in... I'd rather see this as a patreon exclusive because WE would love watching it, vs having haters and sheep mentality of youtube stain the enjoyment of a show that has aamzingly badass female characters etc... for me SAO has the same "male protag vs female badass protags" vibe as Re:zero... and yet people love to hype up Re:Zero (it's a good one btw), but then go and hate on SAO for the EXACT same reasons for both... :/

2024-05-15 21:58:07 +0000 UTC100% on SAO being a patreon exclusive to avoid the youtube hate train, when the show itself is a guilty pleasure for all (in some earlier parts) and then goes on to hit HARD with A-1 studio fight animations and art style in Alicization and War of Underworld... Also the story turned out to have a LOT of callbacks of earlier parts, when most people thought it was random at first... I wont explain why/more because that's a spoiler, but my god, the characters in there have their own arcs of focused development... you could wathc 10 episodes and the amount of stuff that happened feels like it was 100.

2024-05-15 21:54:29 +0000 UTCSwordArtOnline is a guilty pleasure of mine in the earlier parts, but Sword Art Online : Alicization / War of Underworld are ridiculously beautiful and hype, and have fight scenes done by A-1 pictures (same studio as Solo Leveling and Your Lie in April). So it goes HARD. I think that this would performe well for patreons who WANT to see SAO without the hate train of youtube that honest just exists at this point as a meme. It's not a flawless anime, but it's one of those that defined the Isekai genre before Isekai got to be a large hit with people. EDIT: Also guys and gals, some of your suggestions are great suggestions but are also extremely good options to expand on for youtube later. I know we all want to watch some of our favorite animes there, but she specifically is asking for anime/shows that would perform better on patreon exclusive and leave the super hyped public youtube frenzy ones for youtube.

Only 2 seasons too! Amazing character designs ✅ Lovable characters ✅ Beautiful animation ✅ Soundtrack is 🔥 ✅ Some of the best OPs and outros ever ✅ Emotional ✅ Great fight scenes ✅ lol but seriously I think you would love it Flexie!😋 And I don’t think it would do as well on YouTube because not many people have heard of it…

I think you mentioned in one of your reaction streams that you enjoy futuristic, sci-fi anime based in space and such? That’s literally a Gundam series. I would recommend Mobile Suit Gundam 00 for the following reasons: 1) You don’t need any prior knowledge about the franchise and it’s a perfect starting series. 2) It’s got a very complex, mature story that I think will really captivate you 3) The animation is amazing, and I argue it’s better than how most modern anime are animated because it doesn’t focus on flashy, “sakuga” moments but rather its 100% consistent and sharp all the time. 4) Not everyone watches Gundam obviously but everyone knows what it is and it’s not featured on many channels. It’s interesting enough to post as a Patreon exclusive and honestly I think people would buy in on a low tier just to be able to watch, so it helps your exposure. 5) I’m literally just begging you 🥹

Blue eye samurai is much more serious and has all that great traumatic story telling we love in this community. Zom 100 is more quirky, but the MC has a heart of gold and I know you'll love him. Neither one I think is popular enough to be a main channel show, at least they probably are taking backseat to 15 other shows, but they are high quality in my opinion.

I'll wait patiently for this, since its my favourite show... But because i feel related to certain character and situation that made this one special for me... 2024-05-15 07:39:49 +0000 UTCas I mentioned before I believe Death Note is very much a main channel show since its one of the icons so that would fit there :) there is a show called Erased which is short, only 12 eps, though that one I see people mentioning on the internet when reactors ask for something quite a lot so it could do well on the main channel too, but can throw it out there :) for something less mainstream I guess the best one is Monster, its one of the best anime ever made but its not what everybody would watch cause its not colorful with plenty of explosions, its a drama :D that one goes under significant pieces of art :)

It would be great for just Patreon in particular because (no spoilers) I doubt most episodes would make it through the content filters on YouTube lol. You’d probably have to do a lot of censoring in the edit. It is quite popular as far as I know. My most niche recommendation is Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle! It’s a comedy about a princess who gets abducted by demons, and all she wants is a good night’s sleep. I doubt this is popular enough to get traction on the main channel, but it’s a fun watch for sure.

2024-05-15 06:45:05 +0000 UTC- And I see people recommending non anime shows so, if you are interested in trying something like kdrama I would recommend : Flower of evil (it's a underrated but loved one with a smaller audience, I don't think it would work very well on Youtube especially on an anime channel but it's really good ! ) Goblin, the great and Lonely God (but this one could do well on Youtube so it's just a recommendation for later !) And I have others but I'm not sure you would be interested in reacting to kdrama one day so I will keep them for later if you show interest 😊

2024-05-15 05:40:44 +0000 UTC• World Trigger it's a extremely under rated anime you will love all the characters I promise, also Gojo's voice actor voices one of the characters. Season 1 is long tho 73 episodes and the pacing is okay every episode has a recap then at some point the intro is thrown into it. The investment is really worth it though because season 2 and 3 are fantastic. They fixed the pacing and there are only 12 and 14 episodes. The animation got bumped up too in those seasons also. It has some of the best world building and character development I have ever seen in a anime. The power system is probably is the best in any anime its not super flashy, but just how it works and functions it's awesome. Originally came out in 2015 then it went on a big almost three year hiatus due the the creators health then in 2021 season 2 came out then season 3 that fall. Season 4 is in the works. • Eureka Seven It's a cult classic that came out In 2005, its a coming of age, romance, mech anime. Its personally my favorite anime tho I recommended you watch the english dub. The problem with watching is it's not available to stream on crunchyroll so you would either have to stream it on a third party site or buy the blu-ray • Dr. Stone a newer pretty popular and really great anime. About a world that all of the sudden all people and birds get turned to stone. It's currently on a hiatus next season is the last season. It dosen't come out till either later this year or next. • Rwby has 9 seasons fellows a girl named ruby rose in a world thats filled with monsters as she tries to become what is known as a huntress(more to it but thats a dumb downed version). It's currently on a hiatus because Roosterteeth the company that helped make it closed after 20 plus years of internet stuff. But it's really something special. • Toradora one of the best Rom-Com/Slice of life anime. Would be a good change of pace for you to watch. • Noragami another underrated anime.

I like it a lot more than GoT though, personally. Reactions to it are pretty popular on YT but I'm not sure if it would do as well on an anime channel.

A series about Dracula and magic and I've never rooted for Dracula more. Lastly Overlord which is an Isekai from the villains perspective.

It was one of my first real anime I watched before ever watching anything else other than Dragonball. Only 30 something episodes. Some of the best soundtracks and the story line will stay with you for the rest of your life. Also the English voice actor for the mc is the same as Ichigo.

The characters are endearing, relatable, and funny, and the story itself is just phenomenal and really pulls at your heartstrings and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Amazing, AMAZING show. Although I would highly suggest watching this series in dub, even though I know you usually watch sub with anime. This show is one of the very few I’ve seen where the dub is truly amazing and the voice actors do a fantastic job portraying true emotion through their tone and speech.

Beautiful, interwoven story of two Star-Crossed teenagers with a very interesting storytelling device twist at the beginning. The animation is stunning, the OST is unforgettable, and you will fall in love. Shortly after it's release, it reached as high as the 3rd highest grossing Japanese movie of all time.

The OG Reunion kenshin or yuyuhakusho are timeless classics. Hunterxhunter is best done where everyone can see it. Its one of the great underrated animes, completely on par with Naruto, but its unfinished because the manga is lagging. Full metal alchemist is in the top 5 greatest anime ever done, it should be watched, but not an exclusive.
