It's not important in any way, but at the beginning of episode six, they make it clear that they were visiting an alternate reality to see the Ball Fondlers Movie (Ball Fondlers is the interdimentional cable version of The A-Team, established last season). As they are walking out of the theater Rick says "this dimension has giant telepathic spiders, eleven 9/11s and the best ice cream in the multiverse." That is where the giant spiders came from.
