2024-09-03 20:25:58 +0000 UTCIt's funny that the only Dragon Ball series I have watched completely are GT and Abridged, and in that order, too. I adore GT's ending. I actually bought the whole series DVD boxset when these videos first started coming out, but I haven't watched any of it, yet. I might just have to do that soon since I have a bit of a soft spot for GT. The dragon stuff was always my favorite part of the show.

2024-09-03 00:45:19 +0000 UTCYo, I can officially say we have something that I really don't like from the English dub. I never realized that it was supposed to be implied that Goku died. I think the translators might not have clued in, because Krillin's lines always confused me, but they make sense knowing what he actually said originally. This ending got so much better now that I've realized what's actually supposed to be happening here.

2024-09-01 23:28:11 +0000 UTCThe dub certainly didn’t help the idea that Goku could’ve actually been dead, especially with the dialogue they chose during that time or needlessly extended. I honestly would never have considered that idea, but it makes sense all things considered. Also, like Lani said, Shadow Dragons was a great concept with poor execution. Even the choice of wishes that brought Eis (Three-Star) and Syn (One-Star) into existence were kinda dumb ones to choose. If Eis came from the wish that brought back everyone King Piccolo killed, then I could justify him and Nouva being brothers. But no, the wish that wiped the memories of Majin Buu from the Earth? Dumb. They clearly could’ve gone deeper in developing their characters and the story of the Shadow Dragons, but I guess they were on a time crunch

It’s relying on all the good will and memories of the original series while GT added nothing of substance. That’s why the original ending, the intended ending for the series, will always be my preferred.

2024-09-01 07:22:01 +0000 UTCFor some reason I would swear Goku ended it with a dragon fist which poured over into shenron being summoned. Very interesting to see what I remember incorrectly Plus I never caught on to Goku dying there. As a kid, I was actually genuinely confused why Goku was peacing out with shenron and originally thought they were just repeating the "Go on without me" thing like after they beat Cell. This makes a lot more sense
