I'd guess that Jonathan Ali didn't meant that dropping the "Non-profit" line in the Disclaimer was controversial or anything, but there is some story to tell about when things got into motion.
I'm guessing at one point, they just realized they became bigger than they were when they started the first episode of season 1 (plus having to pay voice-actors outside of their little group), and it must've become apparent at one point that 'non-profit' made no sense anymore since it was sort of their livelihood, with the Youtube revenues and such. Maybe it happened this late only because they never thought about it?
I personally enjoy hearing more about the goings on at TFS behind the scenes, the struggles to write certain things.

Y'know, I never trully understood the "Affirmative, I am Android 16" line as the weight wasn't put on 'Android' as much as on '16', so I never considered he meant "as an Android, I AM made of metal, you can't absorb me".
For the longest time, I thought there was some joke I wasn't getting like 'maybe the number 16 has something to do with the heavy metal music genre?'

I really liked the insight on some of the lines from the episode.

My only issue with these commentaries is that they never commented or discussed on the fact that they dropped the "Non-profit" phrase in the Disclaimer.
