TREASURE - 'LOVE PULSE' Album & 'PARADISE' Live | Reaction and Commentary

TREASURE delivered four new and very catchy songs! We were actually surprised by their style in this comeback, and even though it feels like this retro style came a few years too late, we still liked it and will definitely be listening to all of the songs on repeat!

TREASURE - 'LOVE PULSE' Album & 'PARADISE' Live | Reaction and Commentary

Y'all haven't listened to the first two mini albums fully yet right? They didn't start doing hard hitting songs until two years later with Jikjin truly being the first. There are two camps of fans, fans used to this sound who had been around since 'Going Crazy' and then the newish crowd who didn't start stanning until Jikjin. the fans who are disappointed by it not being hard hitting are the fans are mostly the ones who came along around Jikjin. But this album is very reminiscent of their first 2 mini albums. Paradise has been called a mix of 'My Treasure' an 'U' from their earlier albums. A lot of their B-sides and their OST from 'The Mysterious Class' are very on par to the B-sides here. Seriously listen to their earlier stuff. You guys just have Reboot so fresh in your mind which at the time was a huge 180 in their concept from that sweet boy image they had before. Songs like 'Come To Me' 'Bling Like This' 'It's Gonna Be Okay' aren't to far from this sound before just the only difference is instead of 'puppy love' lyrics its more 'I'm older and navigating love'. I would really love to see some album reviews of the earlier stuff too.

Let me correct you on one thing though. EVERYTHING is in Korean but according to Jihoon, there were more English in the chorus ONLY. It's not supposedly an English song. Also, I beg to disagree. Music is timeless so why box it in a specific era/time? They earned a million sales in this album so it is by far one of their most successful comebacks. I think, direction-wise, you ought to look how they promoted this album before you judge it at face-value (in terms of the "wrong direction" you're claiming they took). It was cohesive and it made a lot of sense. To assume it was done recklessly or with misdirection and not intentional, is kinda biased. They have received amazing feedback on both Paradise and the album so judging it prematurely as unsuccessful because it doesn't fully suit your taste is kinda unfair.

As Jeongwoo said and I quote ¨Treasure can pull off any concept¨, hence I really don't care about their genre as long as they continue to release good music. Unfortunately, I don't have a TikTok account so I didn't watch the video of that person saying he is giving up on Treasure because he did not like their new album, but overall, from what I have read and seen, Teume from my country, teume from X and some other Kpop stans from X have been saying that they loved Paradise and that is a really good song, that is bringing back old Kpop vibes and stuff like that so I don't know, personally, it was not my favorite song in the album either, I feel like the title track should have been Everything, and YG himself said that in a video, that at first he thought about making Everything the title track, but, ultimately he decided for Paradise, which, suspiciously was given by him to Treasure. Also, YG allowed them to promote Everything as well and they already filmed and will release a music video for Everything soon.
