Coming soon...

Here’s your guide to everything coming your way in the Evil Inc universe!

Chapter 15

The current chapter of Evil Inc will wrap up this month. The Fairmount branch will get new leadership — Captain Heroic’s former agent, Cassie Cruz. Tempest was so darned fun to draw that I decided she should stick around as Cassie’s corporate liaison. I’m sure Desi will be thrilled. The final epilogue will be released to the public on Dec. 19th. Then, it’s on to Chapter 16!

Spice Rack Comics

In case you missed the announcement, I launched a new collaboration with a bunch of super-talented NSFW comics creators! Spice Rack Comics will announce some exciting cross-promotional events in 2025, and I couldn’t be more excited. This is a project I started working on in January, and I’m beyond stoked we’re finally unveiling it! Be sure to follow our Bluesky account to catch all of the fun!

Christmas Countdown

I’m posting a single-panel cartoon every day in December, counting down to Christmas! The best places to catch it are…

Huion Kamvas 22 Plus

As you may know, I’ve been a staunch supporter of Wacom and its equipment for many years. But I’ve been hearing people brag about their Huion drawing tablets so much I started to get curious. I was ready to upgrade the Wacom One I use in my home studio, so I decided to take the plunge.

I got the Huion Kamvas 22 Plus. I've used it for a couple of extensive drawing projects over the weekend, and I'm prepared to say that it's surprisingly good! I barely noticed a difference between it and the Wacom Cintiq 24 I use in my studio.

Well, there is one big difference. The Huion 22 was $439 (marked down from $539 for a limited time), and the comparable Cintiq is about $1200.

I'm going to wait until I've been using it for a few months for a full endorsement, but for right now, I'm pretty jazzed about it!

Amazon

Thank you to the kind fan who left a 5-star review for Evil Inc: Power Couple! You’d be amazed how much that helps. You may have noticed that the listing for EiAD: Middle Management doesn’t have a one-click button yet, but that’s going to happen shortly. Speaking of things you’d be amazed by… getting a listing on Amazon is a Byzantine process of conflicting directions. However, I can confirm that they’ve finally issued some purchase orders for their warehouse, and I’m shipping stock as we speak. Once that gets accepted, the usual one-click buttons will appear on the listing. In the meantime, you can still buy Middle Management. In fact, if you do that now, I’ll be the one to pack it and ship it!

Speaking of Amazon, the first Evil Inc After Dark collection is now available for Kindle, and I’ll be uploading the second volume later this month!

Comments

Wacom's primacy stems from it being the only survivor of the early graphics tablet wars between Summagraphics, Calcomp, and Wacom (I was getting involved in digitizers near the end of this war). Wacom won because it's passive digitizer technology made for simpler operation than the competitor's active digitizer, which required batteries in each tool that needed too frequent replacement or recharging. For a while, Wacom's prices remained reasonable, but they have risen to be more expensive than necessary - as is typical of a monopoly. Wacom's digitizer are better built than the modern competition, but not enough better to justify the price difference. Wacom lasted as the first choice by having more sensitivity and tilt capability, but that is evening out. So we are entering another digitizer war.

Those are great ideas!
