Here are the top 10 moments we shared in Evil Inc.

10 — The usual suspects

I love to promote Evil Inc After Dark from the main Evil Inc comic, and this one was a great opportunity to do not only that but to reminisce over some truly powerful pairings. Also, it's always fun to poke a little fun at Mister Invincible.

9 — Father dearest

This one is another personal favorite because it's drawn from my own experience as a father. When my boys were small, I could solve any problem by simply walking into the room. Now that they're young men, their problems require a bit more than a reassuring hug and quick jog to the kitchen for some milk and cookies.

Not that I've stopped either, mind you. Superhero habits die hard.

8 — Anything but 'Snowglobe'!

Back in the day, there was a Looney Tunes cartoon featuring a bulldog and an early version of Sylvester the cat. (No joke: It was titled, "It's Hummer Time".) Every time the cat screwed up, the dog would administer a punishment. Evidently, each of these punishments had a title because as the cat was being dragged off to his fate, he would beg the dog not to do it by name. For example, "Not the fence! Anything but the fence! Please, not the fence!" At which point the dog would yank the cat, tail first, through a small hole in the fence. One of the punishments was "Happy birthday," which resulted in the cat pleading, "Not Happy Birthday! Anything but Happy Birthday!"

The Jerr — er... Death Chill — faced his fate with his unhappy wife, his "Not 'Snowglobe!' ANYTHING bu 'Snowglobe!'" was a direct reference to that animated short.

7 — Mommie dearest

Even though Thea had been queen for only a few moments, she was loathe to turn her back on her people. (It didn't help that the transporter hadn't been fully perfected yet, either!) But in the end, her mother makes the decision for her — for better or worse. Later on, when we find out that Thea's mother had died ensuring her daughter's safety, we know her heart was in the right place.

6 — The Giggler

When the Giggler discovers that Wingman is throwing a party without inviting her, she's fuming. But when it sinks in that the entire city will be missing its top heroes for a night, she starts scheming. It's a really fun look at the relationship that she and Wingman share.

5 — Monitor Duty

Although we've seen some commissions featuring the shenanigans that happen during monitor duty, it has only been hinted at in Evil Inc. This was a great way to make it part of the official canon of the comic.

4 — Good Mood

Mood Ring was supposed to appear for one page — tops. But when I started drawing him, I knew I had to increase his presence in the story. Many of you responded to the big lug in a similar way. Plus, I also got to throw in a nod to one of my childhood favorites — Big Boy!

3 — Bow chicka wow

"I have GOT to learn Excel" was one of my favorite punchlines of the year. Throw in a nod to the John Leslie classic skin flick, "Curse of the Catwoman," and you have a pitch-perfect Evil Inc story beat.

2 — Sad Mood

Like I said, I loved Mood Ring. I absolutely hated to draw this passage. But it was too good. Mood Ring instinctively steps in between the princess and a deadly threat. He has forgotten that he gave Thea his ring so she wouldn't feel threatened by him. By the time he realizes he's unarmed, it's too late.

1 — The Big Reveal

The biggest moment of the year for me was being able to reveal that the princess was, in fact, Thea. This gives Thea her motivation for everything that drives her as a villain.
