exciting things. revolutionary things. world changing things. none of which I have anything to do with and will not be featured in this update post. instead I will tell you about the nonsense I've been working on.

video status

as of last night, the script for the new vegas video is "done", meaning I just want to read through it a couple more times before I record and slap it together. clocking in at a little over 3000 words, eclipsing the alien video's 2200. in theory this means that the video should clock in somewhere around 18 minutes long, but in practice the edit will both add and remove a bit of time to that, so who knows? maybe I'll read it at 10 words per minute so I can really rake in those hot youtube dollars.

since the script will be talking in detailed specifics about life in the New Vegas area, I'm looking forward to getting footage that really reinforces the words said over them. I've played with a bit of that in my shot selection before, but I think the way I've written the script gives me some nice opportunities to really lay it on, both symbolically and literally. we'll have to see how sharp I can really get with it, but in the mean time I'll leave you with a few neat stills from the footage I've captured (so far) to whet the appetite.

so the final push is about to begin. if the video isn't done and out by the next update, something has gone horribly wrong somewhere. in a perfect world I'd like to launch Barrel Vision Volume 2 sometime around the release of the video, but only time will tell whether or not that pans out.
