[Important Notice] Tier price change (for new members)

FAQ

Q: What falls into "new member"?

A: According to Patreon, all current non-paid/non-active member (including free member and cancelled member) are considered as new member and will be given new price when subscribing

Q: If i keep my membership active do i get charged a new price?

A: No you'll keep using the old price as long as you keep your membership active, patreon will only charge new price if you cancelled manually and wanted to rejoin

Q: I'm an old member and want to use the old price, how can i achieve that?

A: Please send me a message on Patreon so i can unhidden & increase the member limit to the "Legacy Tier 3". You can subscribe to that tier

Hi Everyone,

This is a bit heavy topic to discuss, but this is a much needed info that i wanted to let you know.

First on all, did you know that this Patreon has been running for 40 months? (Thank you for your support! :3)

During those 40 months, the reward tiers and prices never change albeit the number of rewards keep evolving.

At the beginning, each artwork only has on average 2 alts & up to 3 types... Nowadays we're able to make on average 30 alts and up to 10 types on each artwork (time required to finish each artwork goes 2.5x) XD

This thing alone don't really make me want to increase the price, because with more members supporting me, i got more time to work on art as my main job instead of requiring me to do side jobs. The primary reason i wanted to change the price is to catch up with the inflation (。•́︿•̀。)

However, i don't want to unilaterally increase the price for all of you who have been supporting me until now. As long as you keep an active membership in your current tier, your price would never change (If it's somehow changed, please let me know).

But there's one issue about keeping the same price, i understand that some of you prefer to join & cancel each month manually instead of tying to continuous subscription.

I'm a bit unsure how Patreon handle price change with their new "Reprice" feature, but i'm afraid that if you choose to cancel that membership... The next time you want to join it again, the price would change to use the new price instead of using the old price you've been using in the past. (Is there anyone with an experience about this?)

To reduce this issue, i'm thinking of using one/some of these options:

If you have been a member to me at least once in the past (before February 2025) and somehow patreon showed you the new price instead of the old price. And you wanted to try these methods you can send me a message. Honestly i never tried these before so i'm not sure if it will work fluently or not.

So after some consideration... These are the change i plan to use starting from February 2025 onward:

*Remember the most important info: If you keep your current tier membership active, your membership price would never change.

Thank you for reading and really thank you for your understanding (づ•ᴗ•)づ♡

Honestly you deserve to make more for the quality and quantity of art you do so I don't see this as a bad thing.

All options require a degree of manual setup so maybe i'll try do some trial and error along the way. But yeah the hidden tier seems to be the best option for continuous subscription

complextree

Maybe do that hidden tier? May be better

Aw man... :< Thank you for letting us know, i guess i'll need to setup the experimental methods to try alleviate this issue

To answer your worry about if old members cancel and then rejoin; yes. Members who cancel their memberships and then repurchase their memberships get charged the new price. I've dealt with it when I've canceled and then rejoined patreons before.
