So the big giant white box you see here (and in the attachment) is what we called a lightbox. You can buy one online or you can even create one yourself using a cardbox and paper (I have done that before and it does create the same effect. This box allows me to diffuse the light coming in and make it appear that I am shooting the item in a studio. So instead of putting the lights in softboxes (light modifier), we are putting the subject inside one instead. Both lights here were at 1/16 power.

The setup is actually very very easy and it's easy to experiment with the light, you can even use desk lamp when using a lightbox.

The reason why I had to use such a small aperture (big f stop) is because when I was shooting these photos with my 28mm lens, the focal plane is so small that anything lower would cause the rest of the image to be out of focus. Check out the file (f2.2.jpg) in the attachment. I shot that with f2.2 and you can see how the top two wristbands are in focus and the one at the bottom is not, that's because the focal plane is only about a millimeter focusing on the words on the top wristband.
