This movie is really great. Loved your reaction. Peter Jackson was inspired by the original King Kong in 1933 so he put his heart and soul into this movie. He even made a book about the world of King Kong, "The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island" In it he delves deeper into the lore and the eventual fate of the island and possibly what Kong's fate ends up after the film. Little fun fact, the island is a "lost world" where dinosaurs never went extinct so they kept evolving which is why instead of a T.Rex you see a V.Rex, Vastatosaurus Rex a more evolved version of a Tyrannosaurus made to survive the harsh and hostile environment of Skull Island.
