I screwed up guys☹️

Yeah I screwed up big-time. I went to Micro Center to buy more ram but I didn’t know that my motherboard didn’t support DDR4. So as soon as Installed it and turned it on I started to smell smoke. Then I immediately turn it off. Now it’s just in a boot up cycle.

I was talking to my best friend( which I should haves asked him be fore I installed it) what can I do. He recommended that I buy a old motherboard from eBay to see if anything else got else got fried like the CPU, the drives and the GPU. So I just ordered it and I won’t get it till Wednesday. I really hope that nothing else got fried because that would be a huge lost if I lose the Hard drive that has all of my Daz content. I’m really hoping that’s not the case.

If that happens.....I would have to start from scratch. I only have Lola’s files saved on cloud save. But for ever other characters I would have to be rework them from scratch and I’m not sure I would redo everyone. -sigh-

I really hope everything is safe. I just hate how this happened on a special day like this. This really sucks.

The plan now is the buy a cheaper PC if my drives are safe. And just upgraded next year or so. My PC that I have is 7 years old. I can get something far better then that for about $500. My friend was telling me it’s probably better to do this way.
