I would have done exactly what he did to the fire flies. Didn't even feel bad about it when watching. I think it's the lie that's going to haunt him. Feels like Ellie knows he wasn't truthful and now she's bitter and doesn't have "purpose" anymore. Prob hard to go from someone that could save humanity to just a normal kid.

I feel for the multiple people who were killed, but they were either responsible or in the way. A doctor/researcher likely having little or no real clue about some hypothetical vaccine (or its efficacy) and saying that Ellie needed to die would not have been enough for me.

2025-04-15 08:06:47 +0000 UTCNice reaction Ames! Quite a start to Season Two! I suspect many more jump scares ahead! ***** SPOILERS ***** I feel for both Joel and Ellie. Joel knows what he did and the lie still haunts him. Ellie wants her independence and doesn't think she needs Joel's protection anymore. But underneath it all, I think she knows (perhaps unconsciously) that Joel lied to her, and that fuels her anger. Ellie definitely doesn't want anyone making choices for her. I'll be interested to hear the circumstances behind Gail's husband's death in future episodes. That therapy session was something else! 😮 I guess the therapist is allowed to vent a bit too (especially on her birthday)! Dina is such a cool new character. I hope she's going to make it through the entire season 😨, but I'm afraid she won't. Can't wait for the next episode!
