I loved this movie because it was a lot of fun! Prob my least fave one of the bunch, but I actually like the themes it explores and a lot of the fromage! And Loved seeing the crew back together!

2025-02-13 21:50:08 +0000 UTCThis movie got savaged by the critics, but I actually enjoyed it. One of the problems it ran into was the Writers Strike of 1987 which delayed a lot of production. In retrospect, I think Shatner wanted to bring back the tone of the original series on television. It’s essentially a 90-minute tv movie minus commercials. The next movie is much better.

I know you’ve said you only have one more, but I really hope you watch Star Trek Generations, the 8th movie, even if you don’t get into the Next Generation show. It has original series characters, and Shatner in what I consider his best acting as Kirk. It would be a shame to miss it.
