I’ve received so many movies over the past year, and it's been tough to get to them all! To make it fair, I decided to randomly draw 25 titles from a box. Here they are!

Couldn’t let this go by without adding that THE POPE OF GREENWICH VILLAGE is STILL the single greatest acting ensemble I’ve ever seen. The onscreen chemistry between Rourke and Robert’s is off the charts and given some of the greatest dialog ever written. I find myself going back to this movie again and again and I’m always blown away by it. Also a sad reminder of just how phenomenally gifted Mickey Rourke was and how he let his career slip away.

2024-11-10 08:28:35 +0000 UTCI’m also hoping for DWW but avoid the extended cut until you’ve watched the original first in my opinion…

2024-11-10 08:03:57 +0000 UTCThink you and I are the only 2 to have seen it Guston! Still brings me to tears with its gentle study of human nature. Also happens to be the first American film ever to be produced and shot in Vietnam. I Saw it at a film festival going against several big name/production titles (nobody had heard of it) and it walked away with the coveted Audience Choice award and later heard it was the first film sold after that screening.

2024-11-10 01:03:37 +0000 UTCI picked Taken, Gallipoli and The Sum of All Fears. Nobody ever reacts to them, but it doesn’t look like they’re going to win this one either. 🤦♂️

2024-11-10 00:40:54 +0000 UTCGandhi has to be the single most preeminent movie with zero reactions on Youtube. I repeat, there are currently zero movie reactions to Gandhi.

2024-11-10 00:31:14 +0000 UTC"Three Seasons" (1999) is an amazing film, and hardly anyone knows about it or reacts to it.

2024-11-09 23:37:15 +0000 UTC@Ames I'm hoping for Dances With Wolves (1990). Either cut is fine but the Extended does fill one gap and adds more to get a better feel of things. Also if you have a dog then your dog will have "bragging rights" over @AddieCounts dog "Ollie" and he/she can say they "danced with their Ancestors!" LOL But for me - from the late 1960's towards the end of the 1980's is "Thee Golden Age of Cinema" - soo many 'firsts' that span the entire spectrum of Cinema. Soo many movies that are standing the test of time. For me the year 1990 - this one single year is the "Reissuance of Cinema!" I have it in my head that there's 33 Must See Movies alone! In this one single year! And Thank you and @TeamAmes for sharing with us!

2024-11-09 23:36:07 +0000 UTCIt's not going to win, but I'm begging you to watch Fearless (1993) someday. Peter Weir directed (Witness, Master and Commander). I've suggested this multiple times from other reactors, and no one has seemed interested. (Admittedly, it's not the most well-known movie.) Frankly, this is the first time I've ever even seen it on a poll.

2024-11-09 23:35:10 +0000 UTCMonsoon Wedding is such an amazing, vibrant, enthusiastic celebration of life. It won’t win but at least it’s owned and in hand.

2024-11-09 22:22:27 +0000 UTCI would also suggest that rather than diving into The Tree of Life, Terrence Malick's films benefit from being seen in chronological order, to see how his style evolves each time and how he builds towards the magnum opus of The Tree of Life.

2024-11-09 22:15:26 +0000 UTCI recently re-watched The Insider after reading an article marking its 25th anniversary. God, what a movie! Everyone in front of and behind the camera is on fire in that film, and it feels more relevant than ever today.
