2024-11-01 21:54:43 +0000 UTCI picked Sports, Animation, and Rom-Coms. Sports & Animations because there isn't much of those genres on the channel and Rom-Com because I just like comedies in general. I'm less enthused about War, since I think that genre had been well represented for the past few months.

I guess we could define indie as produced by a non-major Hollywood studio (while allowing films that were picked up for distribution by a big studio). But what about foreign films? It gets tricky whether these count as indie or not Unfortunately, All That Jazz isn't streaming anywhere

2024-11-01 17:24:12 +0000 UTCWAR (e.g., Platoon, Glory [1989]). Always been a top genre for me since I was a kid. DRAMA (my favorite genre -- rather broad). Silver Linings Playbook or Lost in Translation could also be romantic comedy. Lincoln (2012) could also be considered War. I like historical pieces. WESTERN (e.g., Clint Eastwood westerns, such as The Outlaw Josey Wales -- post-spaghetti).
