Upcoming this week!

Hey Friends!!!

Spooktober takes full control this week! I am so stoked to share these with you all!!!

Tuesday - Our #1 horror movie poll winner, Poltergeist (1982)! I would like to inform everyone that I certainly had NOT seen this movie and now I am SOOO glad that I have! I loved it!

Friday - Carrie (1976)! This one ranked high in a previous poll and has been on my must-watch list for ages! I had no clue it was written by Stephen King! This reaction is a bit...hysterical (I hate using this word but it's perfect for this reaction) LOL! I think you’ll love this wild ride as much as I did.

Saturday - It Follows (2014)! I’ve been meaning to watch this for so long, and now that I have... let’s just say I’m still processing. Is it a trick or a treat? You’ll have to watch to find out!

Love your guts! can't wait to keep unveiling the next phase of movie surprises for Spooktober!

 wha ha ha!!! 👻💀🎃

Ps: Carrie SHOULD be hysterical! For a million reasons!🤣

Omg that’s where she was FROM I had a massive crush on her in polty!

What a week....for some damn good acting in horror movies!!!! I haven't seen It Follows, but the actors sell the hell out of Poltergeist and Carrie! Jobeth Williams (last seen nude in the hallway, during Kramer Vs Kramer!), Piper Laurie and especially Sissy Spacek!!!! Not to mention great supporting performances from Nancy Allen, PJ Soles, Amy Irving, Betty Buckley, Beatrice Straight, Dominique Dunne, the actress who played the medium...and those are just the female actors!!! Super psyched for both!

Toc

"Carrie," without a doubt. Not so much gross horror like modern horror, but rather exceptional story telling and acting (Sissy Spacek). Plus one of John Travolta's first big screen appearances.

I Loved the mood and eerieness of It Follows very much...

1982 was a great time to be a teenager and Spielberg addict because POLTERGEIST and E.T. came out within a month of each other that summer. And although Tobe Hooper gets the credit for directing Poltergeist it has Spielberg's fingerprints ALL OVER IT...

RFK Fan

Another fantastic lineup!! I'm hyped this is everything!

Noell G

Yes!!!

Amalia Wolf

You’ll love it!

Agreee!!!it follows for sure needs a rewatch cause it all came to me after and things I missed

What a great week! Carrie isn’t for everyone, directed by De Palma who’s clearly cutting his Giallo teeth a few years before he took the plunge with Dressed to Kill, but I like it. And It Follows has so much subtext it almost takes a second watch. Good week, you do yourself proud!

I actually have never seen poltergeist, but always meant to. It just kinda slipped through the cracks over the years (terrible excuse, haha). Super stoked for this week!!

I first saw Poltergeist as a child when it came to HBO in the 90s. Also watched the 2nd and 3rd not long after. Haven't watched them fully in years so this will be great!
