Nominations for Comedies!

Hi everyone! Thanks for voting in the last poll!

I am unable to list every single movie I’ve seen (one day hope to have a Letterboxd account or list) but for now I can let you know I have seen a lot of Jim Carey, Will Ferrel, Adam Sandler (except newer ones) and Ben Stiller movies.

Ones I haven’t seen are things like; Kingpin, Uncle Buck, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep. Still lots from 80s/90s I have yet to see. Older classics. I can’t list everting but I won’t be mad if musicals swing in here or just HAPPY movies!

If I have seen what you have listed I’ll just tell you or won’t pick it lol.

Please list them bullet form and year for me 🙏🏽

I won’t put a cap on how many noms for this one!

Much Love!

Happy Long Weekend! Canada Day is around the corner - buts it’s a busy weekend for Soccer and NHL stuff 😂😂

I know I’m late on this but I had to cancel for a couple of days (problem with payment source), and maybe she will still take suggestions from this list from time to time. South Park - The Movie - Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (1999) - one of the funniest movies of all time LA Story (1990) - starring (and written by) Steve Martin and introducing a pre-Sex in the City Sarah Jessica Parker. It is a surreal, silly, fantastical, and sometimes profound satire of Los Angeles. It is obviously a little dated, but so good. Clue - The Movie (1985) - based on a board game. The theatrical version showed one of 3 different endings depending on which version a theater had. All endings are shown in the home version. Super fun. This is Spinal Tap (1984) and A Mighty Wind (2003) -both from the same creator (Christopher Guest) and in the same mockumentary, mostly-improvised style as Best in Show. Both are almost musicals, as they tease hard rock (Spinal) and 60s folk (Mighty); and both are really funny. Cabin Boy (1994) - Super-silly and surreal movie about and extremely rich and spoiled man-child (Chris Elliott), who gets on the wrong boat on his way to Hawaii after graduating from finishing school. Co-produced by Tim Burton, and you can tell. A very dumb (“good-dumb”) movie. Valley Girl (1983) - very 80s comedy/drama starring a young Nicolas Cage. Empire Records (1995) - movie about the antics in and around a record store in the 90s. Starring a young Renée Zellweger, Liv Tyler, and Anthony LaPaglia. Neighbors (1981) - A really weird dark comedy starring John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd. There are only eight people in the whole movie, three of whom are on screen for less than 30 seconds. Satire about a couple living a humdrum life the suburbs in one of two houses at the end of the block, until a crazy couple move in next door. Like Empire Records, I might be the only human on earth that loves this movie. Oh, and Cabin Boy. Lol. Office Space (1999) - you’ve probably already seen this movie because people can’t shut up about how good it is. But if you haven’t, stop reading this and go watch it now. Also, your post should have been called "Noms for Coms", but I'll let it slide. LOL.
