Game Update Progress!

Well, it's been a bit slow going between normal art creation and helping my wife with her torn ACL; but I've got a few little tidbits to share.


I've mostly been tossing around the concept of having guest party members who won't provide much direct help in combat, but will provide enough support to make the combat curve a bit easier. Just as well, enemies across the board are just going to hit a bit less hard and take a bit less time to kill. I don't want to make it feel like a slog just to get to the next set piece.

The newest location you'll visit with this update is going to be just outside of the manor on the estate itself. So it'll be out and about in the wilderness, which means I'm trying to make the maps feel a bit more organic in the way they flow, I just want you guys as players to be able to stretch your legs a bit and explore in a direction you feel like exploring in; I'm just working on a reward loop at the moment for doing such.

Last thing I'm really spitballing around by myself is the idea of having a town outside the manor walls that you the player can contribute resources too in order to help build it up and see changes to it as well as new NPCs who will arrive as a result of you finding/saving them from situations. But that's still early-early stages.

you clearly got other more important stuff to focus on, this much is fine for an update. Last idea definitely sounds interesting, though maybe the 'helping the town grow' idea is a secondary one compared to everything else?
