Post Apocalypse 3: Mercenaries & Samurai Loyalty Packs - Everything You Get in May!

Hello Patrons,

It's time for the full gallery of parts and multi-shell breakdown!

Post-Apoc 3: Mercenaries

In the images below, you can see that we've highlighted certain elements in bright orange, blue, green, etc (and you'll see similar images in many of our previous releases too!), and various images say "multi-shell" on them.

These colours mean that each highlighted element is actually a separate "shell" - a complete 3D object that it is possible to move, scale, interchange, or even remove entirely! Want to know how? We've got a few excellent text and video resources for you to check out;

Full written instructions of how to use Multi-Shell features in both MeshMixer and Blender can be found here.

Sonic Sledgehammer's Video Tutorial using MeshMixer.

And finally, an in-depth Blender Tutorial that covers advanced movement and manipulation of individual shells, as well as a whole lot more if you're interested!

First up, we have two styles of heads. The first is a modified pilot's helmet with various levels of extra shelled parts, including armour rivets and a mohawk-like blade. There's a variety of both fresh-faced recruits and grizzled vets, as well as a slightly unsettling bug-eyed gasmask with optional filters. Second we've got the long awaited Beret caps! These too, come with optional shells for facial hair, shield emblem, and the caps themselves, meaning you can swap out these heads for any others you may have in your digital bits box!

The torsos feature scrappy layered armour, which starts out as a padded vest, then adds on a multi-shell custom armour chest plate, a modified SMERSH rig, and finally a small air canister and airflow gauge, for emergencies. Two of the armoured torsos have seen combat before, and have some gnarly damage from acid pitting, bullet impacts, and claw marks!

The mercenaries have taken the gorka suit and up-armoured it with extra plates, bolts, rivets, and padding, as well as a few home sewn repairs. If a lighter feel is more your style however, then the optional pockets and shin plates can be stripped away.

Much like the legs, the merc arms are haphazardly maintained gorka suits, patched over with duct tape and sewn on patches. Each also has large padded shoulder pauldrons. The hands, stock and identification paches are all shelled. There's also a full set of melee/pistol arms with open wrist joints, and a VANT assault shield with an integrated arm, but shelled for your kitbashing convenience!

For weapons and accessories you've got a few classics - the AKM rifle - reworked from the original digital AK we released all the way back in 2020. This one features far more accurate detail, as well as shelled parts, including the mag and PBS-4 suppressor. All that, and still Pistol-Grip joint compatible! There's also two unique AKs with homemade 1-shot flame throwers!

There's a standalone VANT shield with an over-arm joint that should be compatible with most other Regiments releases. The iconic C96 Mauser 'broom handle' pistol, and a vicious machete-style short sword complete your melee/pistol options!

Samurai Loyalty Bonus Pack

Each month we give everyone a little something extra that helps build out the previous month's kit. A loyalty reward for everyone that sticks with us, month after month. In May, everyone that supports us here, or on MyMiniFactory will get all the parts shown below, absolutely free!

Following up on last month's samurai, Staffer Cora is back with the very popular request of some Jingasa Hats! there's a mix of masculine and feminine faces, as well as a pair of soft gaskmasks for a more advanced diesel punk look! All shelled, in case you need to swap out the heads for something else.

And we couldn't forget to add the beautiful lamellar Ō-yoroi armour, with or without battlefield Sashimonos, and optional lacing. Turning that set of shells off gives a sleeker, sci-fi appearance.

Perhaps most importantly, there are the samurai polearm arms, featuring all the same detailed optional shells as the first release. There are four options for your polearm wielding samurai - three different Naginata toppers, and an Ishibiya hand-cannon! Finally, there are some hand gestures with the shelled samurai armour!

We hope that this breakdown has given you lots of inspiration to plan how you want to use May's bundle! As usual, we've provided the render images in ZIPs, attached to this post, for quick reference. If you have any thoughts, share them down below, or on our Discord

We'll leave you with some example figures of some potential builds for next month's parts!
