Zoey's Next Pokémon!

Yikes! I'd intended to post these two polls (Zoey's next Pokémon and 2B's next Pokémon) the same day as the story update! Then I was going to post the monthly poll today. Only, I went to post the monthly poll...and realized that my absent-minded dumbass hadn't posted these yet T-T. So, you're getting these two polls today, and the monthly poll will start up tomorrow.

Now, first off, and why I'm doing this poll first of the two, is that Zoey is the only one who 100% absolutely is getting a pokémon in Mt. Moon. Her team is currently a little light on numbers, particularly as she won't want to use Purugly in Gym matches until the higher badges. 2B might get a pokémon, but she's closer to a full party already, so it's less of a priority for her.

Now, as for pokémon that might be added to Zoey's team in Mt. Moon...well, there are potential spoilers to it, but that's unavoidable. The options are as follows:

1) Absol! This is one of the better options for her, as she already has experience with more troublesome types like ghost/dark (she had a Mismagius in the anime) and it offers relatively good utility, including the ability to learn some electric type moves from TM that would help her in Cerulean.

2) Sandshrew. Less immediately helpful, but Sandslash are one of the better Ground types in Kanto, so a good long-term addition to her team.

3) Clefairy. She would be a bit conflicted, since she's steering away from the sort of cute pokémon she'd normally use for Contest. But if she gets a chance at one, Zoey isn't doing to turn the chance away! Like with Absol, its TM movepool would be an asset against the Water Gym in Cerulean.

4) Tyrunt. Note that only one of these will be available, either Zoey can get one or 2B can, but not both. A beast of a pokémon, there's little question that it's a good addition, and fits the team of powerhouses Zoey is sort of building. But it won't be overly helpful for her immediate needs.

Right! Those are the options for Zoey! Mt. Moon...doesn't actually have the best collection of pokémon, honestly. I hate this portion of the game in the original generation, as they didn't really give you good options for helping you with the next Gym. Which just seemed like poor game design to me at the time. Still does, honestly...
