Short Delay and Voting Reminders
Added 2025-11-22 18:08:44 +0000 UTCFirst, this is a final reminder that voting will close soon for the December Story Poll, and Stripper With a System Companion Poll. I'll be closing both of them on the 25th, so get your votes in if you haven't done so already!
Aside from those reminders, this is just a short post to let you know Displace Hero won't be out today. I target the 22nd for it, but with a whole month of complications, it's the easiest to have slip a bit. In this case, I actually do have about 12,000 words of it done and should finish it today, but won't have time to edit it. I recently ordered the parts to upgrade my main PC...and just spent 6 hours putting everything in a new shell T-T when I should have been finishing the story.
I swear, it used to only take an hour or two to build a PC from parts, but cases for custom builds have gotten stupidly complex. Worse, it's just to keep the insides looking pretty, which I don't give a Bantha's left testicle about. I had to actually read the manual, like a heathen, just to get the damn case apart to add stuff, which took half an hour all on it's own. Then, with no physical manual included for the MB, I had to find and download it on my phone to figure out how in the unholy udders of a Hutt Hooker you were supposed to release the primary M.2 drive heat synch. Then...well, suffice it to say it was a far more laborious process than I was expecting. Still haven't tried actually booting it up either. Something almost always goes wrong with first boot attempts and I didn't have the energy to troubleshoot T-T.
Anyway, Displaced Hero will likely still be out tomorrow, so not a big delay.
Comments
No need :-). Displaced Hero and One Piece: Halfway Broken are updated every month. This poll determined the third story updated each month, in addition to those to. In fact, the next release of Displaced Hero should be out later today.

2025-11-23 09:15:01 +0000 UTChttps://www.thermaltake.com/cte-t500-air-snow-full-tower-chassis.html It's an enormous beast of a case. Since I use my main rig for 3D rendering I have multiple GPUs and fairly ridiculous cooling needs. I always build with full tower cases for that reason, but this one is a brute even by Full Tower standards, as I had a devil of a time finding a case that supported the 4 internal 3.5inch Sata Drives I use as long-term project storage. I have a pair of m.2 drives too, of course, that I use for the OS, rendering, gaming, etc. But Sata SSD Drives are still the best for mass storage (I have a good 10tb of storage and it's about 80% full). For some reason, most new cases have stopped supporting significant numbers of them, so I was stuck with a bare handful to pick from.
