Poll! Pokémon Adventure Relationship Thoughts!

Alright! Normally, I would be setting up next month's Story Poll right about now. In this case, however, I have another poll I'd really like to get in place while the latest A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure release is still fresh in everyone's minds. Don't worry, next month's Story Poll will go up in two days (ish). Which, since I typically don't close it down until midnight of the 25th, is plenty of time for the voting on it.

Now, to explain what this poll actually is!

A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure is extremely unusual for my fics in that, frankly, it really isn't suited for a multi-pairing. Knowing my audience (and, let's be fair, also being a pervert myself) I normally construct fics in such a way that there's at least a solid foundation for such. Pokémon Adventure is the odd story out in that. As I've chosen mostly to focus on 2B's Journey toward understanding what it means to be human, complex relationships are...less than ideal for that purpose. At least at this stage.

To be blunt, it would be a long, long, long way into the story before I think 2B herself would be in a place for that sort of relationship to make sense. She's going to struggle to understand relationships, romance, sex, and how it all works together even without the extra complication(s). In time, a lot of time, it might be possible that she'd decide to explore further. Mostly, it has to be said, that would only likely happen if her partner happened to have leanings that direction.

Long story short, I'm inclined to make this particular fic a single-pairing. Right now the choice for that pairing would obviously be Zoey. I've sort of set things up in that direction and, honestly, Zoey is developing even better than I'd hoped as a character. I legitimately wasn't sure how well I'd be able to write her, but I think she'd coming along fairly nicely. Yet, I also understand that Zoey is, honestly, a somewhat obscure character. Which means I'd really like some input from you all about their future together. There are really three ways I can see this developing:

1) Zoey is the primary relationship for the story. In the distant future, it might be possible for them to dabble in hookups. Possibly as Zoey decides to help 2B broaden her horizons. Getting briefly involved, for example, with a nudist group or bondage club to explore kinks/fetishes. Something of that sort. Essentially, though, Zoey/2B would be more or less exclusive outside a few possible moments of 'adventure,' and those would be well down the line if they happen at all.

2) Zoey is a First Relationship for 2B. I don't do angst, so it's not a 'crash and burn' sort of ending. This would be Zoey and 2B getting involved, having some romance and eventually lewds, but ultimately deciding that they weren't really compatible on the romantic level. They remain friends, possibly even occasional lovers, but 2B eventually moves on to another relationship in the future. Zoey, in the end, becomes a learning experience for 2B, but one that isn't resentful for having been so.

3) I steer away from an actual romantic relationship between them. Instead, Zoey helps educate 2B on the concepts of attraction and sex more than romance. They become lovers and best friends, but fall short of really making a romantic connection at all. Eventually, 2B ends up, with a deeper understanding of emotion, making a more romantically-inclined connection with someone else down the road.

Essentially, she learns about sex and sexuality from Zoey, but Romance and Relationships farther down the line from someone else. Honestly, I think this is my personal least favorite option, but that's because I'm actually more than a bit of a romantic at heart. It does objectively make sense as an option, as it fits well along the path of 'learning to be human.' One step at and piece at a time, as it were. In some ways, it's the deeper possibility for exploration of that, even if it's a bit against my normal preferences.
