Just a Quick Note
Added 2025-07-22 01:48:33 +0000 UTCRight, so this is just a super quick note to let people know that the next Displaced Hero chapters probably won't be out until the 23rd (24th at latest) instead of the 22nd as usual. I had a very mild amount of writer's block, caused more by trying to figure out how to get from Point A to Point Q in the story without too much boring repetition. Then, I have an eye appointment tomorrow where they'd likely do the whole dilate-my-eyes thing which makes staring at screens painful until it wears off.
Net result is I'll likely finish the story writing tomorrow but won't have time to edit it. I already have 10k of it written, and will probably add another 2k tonight before I crash. So I shouldn't have too much trouble wrapping things up tomorrow. It just won't get edited/published until the 23rd. Not exactly a huge delay, but still figured I'd drop a note for those that remember it's normal release day :-).

My eyes are super light sensitive BEFORE they dilate them :-p. So it's usually pretty bad for me. And sadly they often still do the traditional dilation (most people don't need it with some new machines) due to checking for some more esoteric issues my family has a history of.

2025-07-22 03:11:04 +0000 UTCHave fun with that, when I need the eye dilation I’m generally fine with looking at anything within arms reach as long as I turn the brightness down. The worst part is having to walk back to the car, first time it happened it was like a flashbang when I left the building. Had to close my eyes and have my mum walk me like I was blind before handing me sunglasses
