I had watched Oppie and wanted to watch something to get my energy up and have some fun! but I had NO IDEA how deep this movie was!! I really enjoyed seeing my home Province in this as I frequent Hope often! Mostly to go to the amazing diner π€£

Many veterans personally thanked author David Morrell for writing this story because it did bring a lot of focus on what those Vietnam vets had to go through. The vets were spit on, harassed, and called baby killers by an anti-war public that didnβt have all the facts at the time. Even worse is the fact the soldiers didnβt choose to go over there, they were ordered to fight in that war but they took the brunt of the criticism.

2024-03-08 23:51:46 +0000 UTCOkay, Hope, B.C. We have Phoenixville, Pa. where the movie "The Blob" was filmed. It was Steve McQueen's first major movie role in 1958. Every year they have a "Blob" Festival and you all can be extras in recreating the famous scene of panicked movie-goers fleeing out of Phoenixville's old Colonial Theater! (Still standing, after all these years.) I mean, what else is there in Phoenixville? Punxatawney, Pa. has Phil the Groundhog, and that's allllll Folks!
