I prefer your solo commentary (esp for "serious films" like AFI) most of the time b/c you have more of a chance to focus and offer some good insights. Pretty hard to do when interacting with someone else. But would be great to have Mel or another friend on for something like a light comedy (or Spooktober, I think that went really well). 2. Reactor collabs? There's a nice little YT/Patreon channel called Maple Nuts React, Canadian couple close to your age. Since they're smaller than you subscriber-wise, they'd probably go for it. I think you'd vibe well. 3. Trendy shows? Not my preference. I totally get Masters of the Air (b/c of BoB and Pacific), but in general I'd prefer stuff that has marinated at least 10+ years so it can be more objectively judged (like Sopranos). Also I think more than one long series at a time would overwhelm the channel. 4. Favorite directors? My big 3: - Kubrick (2001, Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange) - Hitchcock (The 39 Steps, Notorious, Rear Window, Vertigo) - Scorsese (Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, King of Comedy) Honorable mentions: Billy Wilder (Sunset Blvd, The Apartment) and David Lean (Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai) Btw, I also watched that Letterboxd Marty-Leo discussion. Glad to see the Lions win (since my Bears aren't in it, my sentimental favorite to win it all this year), but I wish the Bills could have pulled off the win at the end over the Chiefs.
