I remember how much of a phenomenon Jaws was released. This movie is part of the culture. Robert Shaw is also in The Sting (1973) and From Russia with Love (1963), among other movies.

2024-01-06 16:30:46 +0000 UTCYou can definitely see why Kevin Smith loves this movie so much. The main characters names are Brodie and Quint (“Mallrats”). The scene where Hooper and Quint compare their scars is repeated in “Chasing Amy” with Banky and Alyssa and that movie also features a character named Hooper. In “Clerks” towards the end of the film, Randal quotes the “You’re gonna need a bigger boat!” line and hums the “Jaws” theme when he has the salsa and chips.
