Also, there is an excellent 4 minute Band of Brothers musical tribute called "Unashamed" by LeBreton. Very moving, but with some definite spoilers in it. Check it out, but ONLY after you see the whole series, especially the last bitter-sweet episode.

I know you love the musical opening credit montage with its sad, mood-setting theme. There are semi-spoilers in the montage, that only become obvious once you see all the episodes. Actually, there are sad lyrics to this sad theme. It is called "Requiem for a Soldier" and can be found all over Youtube. I don't know if you're ready to hear them, until after seeing all the show. The musical orchestral score is by the late Michael Kamen, and is superbly performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra. MY favorite song is "Blood on the Risers," or "Gory, Gory, What a Hell of a Way to Die," sung to the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," or "Glory, glory Hallelujah." Written in seven verses by a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, it was a favorite of the 101st, too. It can also be found on Youtube. It is about a paratrooper whose chute doesn't open. Grim, dark Gallows humor. Ironically, Episode 1 was going to follow a fictious character named Dietrich, whose parachute would fail in training, which did happen to some. I'm glad they didn't...there were enough real characters to handle and Sobel was a big enough worry .
