The Last Samurai Watch Along
Added 2023-10-17 16:00:06 +0000 UTCI loved this movie!! Tom Cruise brining that true Movie Star quality! But the whole cast in this was unreal! I loved the cinematography and the score! Really visceral and emotional!

So many powerful and emotional moments! π’ Taka: "The way of Samurai is difficult for children. He misses his father." Algren: "And he is angry because I am the cause of that." Taka: "No. He is angry because he fears you will die as well." Whew! That gets me every time. Such a lovely reaction, Ames. I love how immersed you get. You really react. You don't spend all of your time over-analyzing and talking about how a scene was shot, or the lighting, or other technical details (even though I know you absolutely know all about those things). You stay in the moment and allow yourself to feel what's happening in the story. It's beautiful! I also get a kick out of you telling the characters what to do! "No, Taka, don't give him more sake!" "Nathan, don't track that mud in the house!" π€£ This was definitely one of my favorite watch-alongs with you, Ames! π₯°
