Welcome home familia! 👋💜 Thank you all so much for your support this month and for taking the time to vote in our last poll. 🙏

Today we are going to be sharing our very first reaction to a Korean Movie! 👏

This movie had us on the edge of our seats!! It's hands down the best zombie movie we've seen! There were so many tense and devastating moments 😥 and the end wasn't what we wished for, but it was really nice to see familiar faces. 😊 Now we know some of Ms. Yu Mi and Mr. Wooshik work. 👌

Thank you for your recommendation familia, we hope you enjoyed it!💜

Train to Busan- Reaction

Comments

finally watched your reaction to this amazing movie, familia. And yes, no matter how many times i watched this, still get taken with the feels on every intense scene. It was nice seeing your reaction as well when you find out that woo-shik is one of the cast. Looking forward for more Kmovie reaction. Borahae Familia!!

You have to watch Parasite next, it did win the Best Picture Oscar in 2019. Some other iconic Korean movies - Oldboy 2003, cult classic revenge flick, the first Korean movie that really broke through among cinema lovers. It got a US remake directed by Spike Lee, but wasn't very good IMO. The Man from Nowhere, an action classic, the Korean John Wick if I had to reduce it to a tagline. My Sassy Girl, my favorite romcom of all time, and I don't even like romcoms. Also got a US remake that wasn't very good. This was before there was any hype over Korean entertainment

Somnia

This is my FAVORITE movie! And I'm not even a horror/thriller junkie <3

Saint Heartfilia

Definitely should watch The Witch Subversion part 1 for your next Kmovie!

Desirae

More kmovies, kdrama reactions please 🥹

Daz

I'm so mad at myself for watching that! XD Too sad for me. But the special effects were SO GOOD. I mean, I think the zombies in The Walking Dead and 28 days later were groundbreaking in different ways, but I have never seen zombies this dynamically swarm-like! It was still very fun to watch with you! Marisol cracked me up when she apologized for wanting that evil man to die! I was like, "NO, DON'T APOLOGIZE, GIRL!" XD

terri b.

marisol said that when they made this movie they dont know we had the real one coming reminds me of his one korean movie. flu. this movie, is very similar to what happened during covid and its actually released BEFORE covid 19. i remember watching the movie bcs everyone is saying how the situation is very similar. u guys should that one out too. interesting movie, fast paced and ma dong seok was in that movie too ahahhaha

Nadhirah Rahim

This was sooo much funn.. It was my first time watching Train to Busan.. N I loved that I watched it with U guys.. N that was the Best Part! Im Loving This Journey!

Jovy g

When the guy finds out that the whole outbreak is his fault and he's in the bathroom, I was all into it but Marisol saying "How you feel looking yourself in the mirror, huh?" kind of made me laugh because it was said as if she was genuinely annoyed with the character and I thought it was adorable

Letícia Oliveira

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!! I literally made pop corn and now I'm watching with you a new movie I never watched! This is great! And WHAT A MOVIEEEE

Letícia Oliveira

Got this tier caused I just can’t not watch your reaction to the go movie movie that made a lot of people to watch k content more

Shreya

its okay to not be okay next!!

madi

AHH! I am finally able to afford this tier again! so excited to catch up and then watch this!!!!

niki

That last scene ALWAYS gets me!!! That little girl seriously should be given all the awards.. she was phenomenal here!!! And I love how you were just appreciating the beautiful shots even during the hectic scenes hahaha.. one of the reasons I fell inlove with K-movie and drama is because you'll always gonna get quality with them!! Always!! When you dive into this world, you'll really get introduced to some of the best storytelling, acting and cinematography in all of visual entertainment!! That's why when Parasite won the Oscars and Squid Game became such a worldwide success, I was like FINALLY!! It's been such a long time coming!! Finally more people are discovering it and K-content is finally getting the love it deserves!! And like what Parasite director Bong Joon Ho said, “Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films." :) I loved loved loved this movie night with you familia! I enjoyed it sooooo much!! Here's to hoping we'll watch more films/dramas on this tier moving forward and I hope you had a great time watching it as well with us... :)

nikki

Oh I gotta say my favorite korean movie is BTS documentary or concert movie🤣

chesire

This movie is so hard not to cry😂 and I’m happy that you guys are experiencing new korean content journey! QOTD: I thought about it for the first time, thanks to your question, I don't think I have a favorite Korean movie..! I’m korean but I enjoyed foreign movies more than korean movies. And I prefer k-drama than k-movie. My favorite movies are all from other countries. But I do hope k-movies grow even more. And I believe ‘Parasite’ is truly one of the genius movie in the world. It’s just not my type to rewatch it over and over. But I have favorite zombie content, called ‘Kingdom’! It’s Netflix k-drama! If you enjoyed zombie content, this is best for you. I watch more American or British movies and dramas, but I do think Korea makes really good zombie content!🤣

chesire

Hi Familia!!! I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH "HWARANG" AS WELL!! I mean half of the WOOGA SQUAD ARE IN IT - Kim Taehyung, Park Hyungsik and Park Seojoon!!!! hehe. Although you'll see Taehyung there at episode 2, he doesn't have much role on the first few episodes but as it reaches I think episode 10, his story will unfold - OKAY I'LL STOP HERE! hahaha

YuuChan097_OT7💜

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS: Even though BTS World Series didn't get that many votes I am still hoping you could react to it, you'll be able to see the members act for real (real acting). Each episode last for 15-20 minutes each and everything is worth it. Hope you'll notice this huhuhu. This is good for 1-seating watch hehe, it's like watching a movie. LINKS: youtube.com/watch?v=3JT3OayvrRg This message of mine might be too consistent I'm sorry but I really want you guys to react to this. Thank you!

YuuChan097_OT7💜

i also watched it for the first time time together with you guys and woah, what a movie !! it's so much fun that we're watching these things together right now 💜

Nele

My first time watch it with you guys 😊 it's really good 👍

Tong Linh

i watched so many kdramas but this is my third kmovie (the 1st one is sweet & sour and the 2nd one is parasite). don't really like the zombie things before but this movie is actually so good! can't wait for you to react more kmovie or kdrama!

tesalonika

QOTD: favorite Korean movie ?? that's a tuff one..thriller movie would definitely have to be train to Busan but not to long ago I found a very hilarious action comedy movie that is korean and seojoon (from the wooga squad) stars in the movie, after watching it, it quickly became no.1 for me and I watch it very often..it's a movie you won't get tired of. Hopefully my comment gets other people to watch it too, because you definitely won't regret it.

Vanessa

The way I cried at the end when she was singing don’t even make no sense😭 Absolutely loved this you guys should do more K-drama and k-movie reactions.

Aleah

I LOVE MOVIE NIGHTS!!! HOPE TO SEE PARASITE UP NEXT!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Shamya Mckoy

Movie night w/ the familia! I've watched it once before but it was so long ago and I forgot how good it is!! I'm looking forward to more films in the future b/c I haven't watched too many Korean movies and watching this with you was so fun!!

Tannie-Aeongi

Chantel

Oh God thsi is my first time watching it full, I have watched it on yotube with other reactors so many times before and I swear I cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. during the part where the husband died, where the father died and when she was singing wow. I cry for those scenes SO MUCH

Khadijah(deejahkosmos)⁷

the look on your faces on wooshik's first scene on this movie was priceless .. after watching this and kingdom (the netflix series) i learned that korean zombies are sprinters lol

Auclaire D'Lune

OMG i love your reaction!!💖💖 I hope you guys watch k-drama 'The Glory'! It's really popular in Korea and its story is amazing.. you guys will love it😍

swl

He has also worked on other films such as The Closet, After My Death, Psychokinesis & The Wailing.

eynz

veenak

Hi Familia! I've been to Busan and it's half-sea and half-city hehe. Kinda late because the whole weekends we celebrated NamKook's Birthday hehe. Question of the day: What's your favorite Korean movie? - THE TUNNEL :D I'm so happy your reacting to korean drama and movies, this is gonna be soooo fun!!

YuuChan097_OT7💜

there is Peninsula as the Train to Busan 2 but there was no explanation on what happened in Busan after yumi and the girl arrived, the Peninsula I believe it has a different story and is not connected to this one, it just take place on the same universe as this one

Juley

I've watched this movie literally multiple times but am so excited to watch with you again!! QOTD: TRAIN TO BUSAN and PARASITE are my absolute favs familia

veenak

GIRLLL i just finished watching with you guys MYGOD ive watched this movie a few times before and still cried 😭😭😭

dee

hi famiia! It was my first time watching train to busan and that too with you guys. Really had a lot of fun

Cynthia_pk

Thank you so much for reacting to this movie, familia! It's my fave zombie movie of all time! And this movie was what started my love for Korean entertainment. Because I fell in love with Gong Yoo in this movie, I watched all of his series, movies, and everything else about him. He and this movie are what got me hooked to anything Korean. If I hadn't gotten hooked to this, I wouldn't have discovered BTS. Because when I ran out of Gong Yoo shows to watch, I discovered so many other actors and actresses, and after practically watching every awesome kdrama and movie, I discovered BTS when they guested on The Ellen Show. BTS then introduced me to K-Pop.

Herzie Santos

QOTD: My favourite Korean movie has definitely got to be Train to Busan because it’s so so good I love it. Also because the little girls acting was amazing. BTW this movie made me cry when I first watched it and I still kinda cry when I see it even though I’ve rewatched it like 15 times. I kinda want to see you guys watch all of us are dead now LMAO. I feel like you guys would enjoy watching it.

rms

And just to say, you said that this would be good to learn Korean. Okay, from what you said Marisol: this would be good to learn hangeul(한글), hangeul is the writing system not the language, that is 한국어, which is what you should say if you’re referring to the language, only say 한글 if you’re referring to the writing system. Also, translations, make sure to not depend so much of you’re learning on what you hear and what it says literally in the English subs, they’re not always what the actors/actresses are word for word saying. 알아 means ‘I know’, not ‘of course’ which is 당연하지. Subtitles a lot of the time in movies and kdramas express an idea that is formed in a way that is natural to us English speakers so be careful not to always take so much of what you hear and what you read literally. (Also different different streaming services, like Amazon or Netflix etc work with different translators so translations can vary, so always be aware of varying translations. Many words, verbs and phrases in Korean don’t always match up to English perfectly because it is Korean not English, they have their own way of saying things that cannot be literally translated into English, so be aware of that, you sometimes need to think creatively and have a general consensus of what they’re expressing and how they’re expressing it. Korean makes you rely a lot more on context than English does because in English we sometimes have to use many specific words and grammar points to convey a message, yet in Korean it’s a lot more flexible to get a message across, like one Korean word could get an entire 5 word English sentence across to you. Sorry for the rant but when it comes to languages, my helping spark always comes out. I’ll have to watch part 2 later but this is definitely one of my favs along with others, like Parasite, the round up which I’ve mentioned, peninsula, special delivery, #Alive was a good Korean zombie movie too, there’s many more but I can’t think off the top of my head lol. Anyway, have a lovely rest of your evening/night or it might be the morning now. Wow this comment is longgggg lmao 🤣

Courtney_Sky (The Tortured Poets Department April 19th)

QOTD: Train to Busan is my all time favorite k-movie!! This is like my 10th time watching it and I enjoy it every single time! Parasite is my 2nd favorite. Is also a really good one!! Very well written and the actors are great

Shadow Glow

So, Gong Yoo (the dad) you should know I think. I know you watched Squid Game, he was the man at the train station who led Lee Jung Jae (the main guy for that drama) to the game, remember him and the man playing ddakji and him slapping the man every time he failed to get it right lol. Also Gong Yoo is a part of one of the most iconic Kdramas (Goblin) in Korea, he’s a very famous actor. Ma Dong Seok (the man who plays Yumi’s husband) he’s also a big actor as well, I watched him in this other movie series called ‘the roundup’. There have been many times BTS has mentioned these people so it’s great that you’re being able to form a frame of reference to look back on cause they’re definitely some of the biggest actors you should know. I’ve seen this movie a few times and every time it’s hard to watch, this was the first ever Korean movie I watched and I was bawling my eyes out the first time. It’s sooo good but so sad at the same time.

Courtney can do it with a broken heart

I need pt2 asap!! omg im so happy you guys are reacting to this!!!

KittyMeow

I can finally watch this reaction, I love this movie!!

QOTD: PARASITE is my ultimate favorite Korean movie. It has won an OSCARS BEST PICTURE for a reason. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in my entire existence. 💜💜💜 Train to Busan on the other hand is very close to my heart and the last movie that had me screaming hard at the theater.

Eli Min

Kiki Varas

OMG LET'S GOOO!!!! Let me just get my snack. :D

Eli Min

QOTD: I would I don’t really watch K-Dramas or movies because I don’t really watch TV but I would say Parasite was a good movie to watch.
