2023-06-17 09:52:39 +0000 UTCforgot to add - BTS are able to perform in Hong Kong (MAMA and other award show) with no problem because Hong Kong is technically in a complex, strained relationship with China. Korean artists have no problem visiting and performing in HK :) politics is complicated for sure!

2023-06-17 03:29:31 +0000 UTChey familia! Regarding China's ban on Hallyu, Shasha (above) wrote a really informative post about it. Essentially, China banned all Korean culture related (kpop, drama, tv shows, etc) starting in 2016. you'll see really early, young BTS videos of them performing and visiting China, but that was before the ban. As Shasha mentioned, it was due to THAAD. China's politics clashes incredibly against South Korea + U.S., so that's why they completely shut off all Korean culture (South Korea and U.S are very close allies. China and North Korea have a close relationship). The only way Chinese people were able to access kdramas and kpop was through illegal streaming sites. Interestingly, along with the rest of the world, China also had a huge craze for Squid Game when it came out - but technically, that's illegal and could get in big trouble. A lot of kpop groups consist of non-Korean members, and idols with different nationalities can perform in China with no problem. But not for Koreans (which is the case for BTS - they're all Korean). Even if there is a Chinese member in a kpop group, the entire group absolutely cannot go visit and perform in China because they are under the "kpop K-culture" umbrella. Therefore, we heard Yoongi mention there were a lot of Chinese fans at the Bangkok concert. They would have to travel outside of their country to attend kpop concerts. It's sad that politics gets in the way of spreading culture and music, especially since Yoongi also wants to perform in China. But the K-culture ban has been there for ~7 years. From a realistic, political point of view, the Korea-China relationship has always been strained even before the ban, and it seems like it's gotten worse over the past few years. edit; sorry familia! LOL when I mention "Korean," I meant South Korean! I presumed Korean = South Korean. I would always put "North" Korean otherwise.

Batam is technically a short ferry ride from Singapore.. haha we go there to shop, eat or have a short getaway.. literally the weekend kinda trip.. haha so imagine my surprise. Lol!

Plus, a lot of them are relatively short. So I would also be happy with any subunits or combinations of multiple members, even if it's not all 7 of them! I just love their chemistry together.

2023-06-15 17:40:46 +0000 UTCBy the way Familia, I'm not sure if you've noticed but "Yeontan"'s name I think came from Bangtan Son"yeondan" [yeontan] hehe. Jungkook's album will be released on July 14, and Tae's will be by ber months I think I'm not sure. There is actually like a noticed whenever Tae is live, like many ARMYs will tell hurry and go there because it will end before you know it haha. V has a latest live for almost 30+ mins and a lot of ARMYs were shocked to be honest haha, it became a thing that whenever Tae is going live it will end within 3 mins or 5 mins, that's why this live was already long since it's 10mins haha (Jin was on the comments but he had to go early because of his duties). Tae has been busy, I think he went abroad 2x in 1 week... I hope he is getting the rest he needs despite being busy and going live for ARMYs. But probably all of the members are busy and booked behind the camera, so I'm just praying and hoping that they are all good and fine. Jungkook also has a recent live where he literally just went live to be able to sleep, he was thinking about ARMY that's why he went live but then fell asleep [someone had to turn it off for him again hahaha]. It was a funny and cute live.

QOTD: I've been attending events like fan gatherings here in my country that celebrates BTS's Anniversary which happened last June 11, at a Dome here [Capacity is 1,500] it was really fun hehe. It happened from 1pm to 7pm which is the main event and then after party from 8pm to 10pm I think. I also attended a Fireworks display near a mall here [It's one of the biggest malls here in my country] A huge fanbase of BTS arranged it for us, "Mikrokosmos" was playing with the Fireworks [3mins+] it was awesome and beautiful which happened on June 13. After the show we gathered for a good 1hr of BTS Songs and ARMYs were singing along and having a blast like it was so cool seeing people who weren't ARMYs being curious as to what is happening, they know BTS but not that much haha [MUGGLE WORLD hahaha]. There were also other purple lights around the City and a fountain lighting dance which used BTS's Song "The Planet". We have upcoming events which is for ARMY day on July 9 so I'm also looking forward to that. There are a lot of fan gathering and it's a shame I can't attend all of them because some of them are really far and time-wise it won't fit on my schedule since I have work hehe. I've been enjoying FESTA 2023 because of the hardworking fanbases here in my country and of course going with my ARMY Friends is a huge plus of enjoyment as well. I did met a lot of ARMYs, too and had pictures with them. A lot of them really gave us freebies & I was so thankful hehe. They had raffles for all BTS Solo Albums and other Albums, official merch and we sang Magic Shop, Spring Day, For Youth [some ARMYs were emotional including my friend] and it was magical, just like RM said it's a world were Muggles will never understand. Mixed emotions to be honest, I'm happy when attending these events but also sad after it happens but at the end of the day, I'm here waiting and believing their words in those letters to AIM FOR THE 20th ANNIVERSARY hehe. I'm keeping myself together and I might be stronger than I think, I get emotional yes but I can get myself back up again. It's always fun watching you Familia react to Vlives specially the most iconic once so it doesn't really bother me hehe, I just wanna see you react. :D RECOMMENDATIONS: Even though BTS World Series didn't get that many votes I am still hoping you could react to it, you'll be able to see the members act for real (real acting). Each episode last for 15-20 minutes each and everything is worth it. Hope you'll notice this huhuhu. This is good for 1-seating watch hehe, it's like watching a movie. 2023-06-15 05:14:14 +0000 UTCYoongi’s live was so peaceful too… I really enjoyed watching his mukbang… After concert lives have always been one of my fav genre of lives too… hearing Yoongi talk about the different types of crowds etc was interesting too. I find it amazing that despite not being in the best condition physically with his cold etc he still came to see us after the concert. Others have explained the Chinese situation well and the hallyu crackdown. I also fully believe Yoongi and his words about visiting the destinations later on etc. In regards to lives going forward I’d personally love a mixture. Would love to see the Jin, Hobi, Tae, JK live with you and ot7 dynamite live next… those two lives were sooo fun. But would also love if later we watch new lives as they pop up too mixed with old ones. QOTD. I have mixed feelings about festa… The highlight of festa for me was the members Apobangbo project and video, Take Two, the members letters/messages, Jimin’s letter performance for Army and Tae’s special Instagram story reveal of all those precious behind the scenes videos with all the members. I really hope everyone got a chance to watch them. Im slightly sad that there was no OT7 dinner but grateful we got Suchwita with Jin and Hobi. Also Festa left me looking forward to the future… as both Tae and JK said in their messages, Tae telling us he would release more vids during the 20th Anniversary and JK that 10 is nothing let’s go for 20… we have many many more years to look forward to. As the members have said let’s go for Bulletproof Oldmen. Thanks for your reactions.💜

So if you’re ever unsure abt whether or not a member was there you can literally go and check!! It’s so cool bc usually if you missed a live in real time you wouldn’t be able to see their comments but now they’re saved :)

2023-06-15 03:32:49 +0000 UTCFamilia Tae actually came live immediately (like immediately) after his fan meet with Indonesian ARMY at the SimInvest fanmeet in Seoul. That’s why he was talking about Bali and Batam. And the food. They asked him questions about that etc. It was a really cute fan meet where he unveiled his blond hair properly. He also gave a clue about his album and being inspired by weather and specifically the seasons and winter. He came live after to show himself to more ARMY as such a limited number got to see him. He’d just come back from shooting in Spain specifically for the fanmeet and went abroad the next day again for more content filming. You could see that the jet lag etc was really making him tired. Jin was also in the chat. His messages were so cute. Tae was at home. He’s gone live from there a lot. That’s where he did his gaming live etc too… p.s for those who don’t have the members notifications on for their comments in weverse I highly recommend it cause they are very active on weverse. Not only replying to fans etc but also they comment on each others lives too.for example Tae was replying to Armies today before he did his live… (he references the comments at the beginning of today’s live) (I’ll come back after watching Yoongi’s one with you) 💜

All Suga-related contents are my priority because he's one of biases. It's cute that he likes Thai so much. I hate cilantro though. The only Thai food I love is padthai. Also regarding China, they have banned all Korean marketing activities since 2016. And I wouldnt want BTS to go there. RM was attacked by Chinese netizens over a war comment he had in 2020. Chinese overeacted.

Korean artists have been banned from performing in China since 2016, when the government implemented unofficial bans on Hallyu, or the Korean wave of pop culture, following Seoul’s decision to install the U.S.-led Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (Thaad) antimissile system. when yoongi said some members of kpop groups can work in china but not the whole group. it is because some of Kpop groups have members from other countries like China, Thai, and so on(not like BTS they all korean), thats why some of them can work there, but not the whole group.

Much like chapter 2, it's been very up and down in terms of emotions but I feel blessed to be happy & sad at the time. The season hasn't really finished for me yet, our committee will be putting on a big day event for the Army's in our city, which won't be until July because most of them travelled to see Yoongi in Singapore this weekend, so we have a big party to put on, with food, and games. It's going to be an amazing day!
