There are many people (spectators at that time) who believe this song was one of the best and most PEACEFUL Olympic song performances in history because the Cold War had finally ended and all the countries were fatigued. The lyrics of the song conveyed their message of unity and peace during the hardest times. Although the performance was not fancy, flashy, or out-of-this-world, this song and the opening ceremony represented the true meaning of the Olympics! Look at the two Mascots of the US and the Soviet Union are hand in hand together at 2:27. Recent Olympic opening ceremonies now showcase the host nations' cultural superiority and achievements, but the 1988 Olympics showcased the beauty of peace, love, and reunification of a global community through sports. It was simply, a WORLD event theme that was needed during a time like that, especially in hopes for a better future to come. Cool fact is that this Olympics was the ONLY moment (until the present, as no other Olympic/Paralympic edition managed to do the same in a Closing/Opening ceremony) that we see all Olympic Mascots reuniting and dancing in harmony from the minute 2:05 to the end, all together and giving the performance a peaceful global gathering. I highly recommend you watch the performance. We'll sign him up for wrestling too.. he's got the built for it now.. hahaha.. it was nice to know they used to do this. Nowadays, it's hard to see them having casual interactions with other idols other than previously, in award shows. But then again, we don't know which Award shows will they attend this year considering the circumstances.

2022-09-22 19:58:08 +0000 UTCThere was this one tweet I read before from an ARMY that actually attended and watched the ISAC, she said that during that time she wasn't an ARMY yet and she was there to watch another group that she stanned during that time. She said that during breaks, idols would go inside into their own resting rooms or areas, so the fans won't see them for a few minutes. She was a bit disappointed coz the group she went to see did the same thing and only engaged with them from time to time. So in one of those breaks while she was waiting, she noticed that in a particular part of the stadium some fans were screaming and were obviously having a great time, she got curious and checked, there she saw Jin. He was alone holding an ARMY bomb while facing ARMY, he was dancing the choreo for Boy in Luv while ARMYs were the one singing. She said it was at that time that she realized how BTS was different in treating their fans, she decided to move to the area where ARMYs were and continued to watch the event from there. Apart from Jin, all the members kept on interacting with ARMYs and making them laugh every time they got a chance to do so. She ended up enjoying her time watching not because of the group she initially went to see but because of BTS and how they did things to make ARMYs enjoy. Needless to say, she became ARMY after that and JIN became her ultimate bias. She said it was so evident that among all the IDOLS there, BTS were the only ones who really interacted with their fans most of the time.

2022-09-22 03:20:58 +0000 UTCVMinJin were so chaotic on ISAC 2017 😂 Vmin was attached to the hip and terrorizing poor Jin together lol, took pictures of Jin sleeping, threw Jin's shoes away, then Jin got mad and told them to get it back and they pretended they didn't listen lol, so Jin took Taehyung and threw him on the ground where the shoes were 😂😂 but also, Vmin were really cute!! There's a cute video where Jimin "lost" Taehyung so he's looking for him, and it's just so adorable!!! I really like the 2017 one, i think they didn't participate much on the competition but knew it were their last so they had a lot of fun!! Don't really know why, but yeah like i said earlier Taehyung couldn't attend the second "part" of ISAC 2016 because he was filming Hwarang (btw, Jimin FaceTimed him and showed him to army's, so sweet), and the 2017 i think was more for them to finish it up together, as they were already very busy and stuff!! Don't really remember them participating much too Also, loved that you watched the actual competition of them wrestling, at least some of it!! Was excited for it because i know you would be hyped!! It was “Who Female Idols Wanted Waiting for Them at the Finish Line.” An MBC Radio Star writer shared that the production team were all astonished with the overwhelming number of votes for Jimin. There's no nomination, as long as you're there and you're a male idol you can be voted. Our IT Boy Jimin won 35% out of all the idols there🙌🏽 When they announced it his reaction was so adorable. But very understandable cuz damn I wish Jimin was waiting for me at the finish line when I was in track. Jimin waiting for you at the finish line means you got to run as if you're running for your life because it's so worth it😭

2022-09-22 01:21:08 +0000 UTCThe "they got banned" thing is a joke, kinda. They didn't get banned but they did change up a lot in 2017 so I do think they were planning on stopping anyways. 2017 was a rising year for them so they didn't really need nor have time for ISAC anymore.

I love this moment, they showed what they came for!!!!
