2021-03-15 17:30:47 +0000 UTCi think there were some key subtitles you missed. when yoongi was talking about the weird dish he was thinking of making you looked like you thought he was serious. he was joking about that being something nice. the captions beforehand said giving the 'gift of poison', and 'terror cooking'. he never planned to make it nice. remember this whole show is a parody so they're all acting suuper dramatic, but most of the time they're sabotaging each other and joking around

2021-03-13 20:57:49 +0000 UTC- Tae does have his own method of dish washing - he did a whole little skit about being a professional dish washer during In The Soop ^^ - hongeo - pronounced "hong oh" - it's a type of ray (like a sting/manta) - it doesn't have a lot of meat to it, mostly in the "wing" section - it's aged and fermented, sliced, then served with other very strong flavors/seasonings but it is eaten raw, like an aged sashimi - it is almost fizzy when you chew it, has a strong rotten fish/ammonia scent, and it is NOT something most Koreans enjoy - it's a specialty of certain, more traditional, places and regions, and is loved by a small, but passionate, minority of Koreans - nowadays, it is more of a challenge food (like live octopus), to entice foreigners into adventurous and wildly different food culture - Dokdo - even now, there is a lot of dispute over the land of Dokdo - Koreans claim it as their land due to historical written documents hundreds of years old that refer to the islands, but the Japanese claim them as theirs because they are located in the Sea of Japan and they laid claim to the island a few years prior to hostilities and their invasion of Korea - it is a thing of national pride for both Koreans and tourists to go to the island, raise the Korean flag, and proudly proclaim the island as belonging to Korea
