I know I am late but I just wanna say about the skit, yes, they didn’t have proper income until 2016. Kpop idols bear debt for pre-debut training cost and the production costs of the mv and stuffs. It’s after 2016 bts members recovered all the debts and have proper income. You can tell in bon voyage season 1 (2016) they are not buying much, especially not buying big and luxury brands, just simple ones like H&M, eating ikea, dominos. And the production weren’t that decent as well.

His line "all those weak loser whiny idiots" was censored by the network so instead of singing that line he rapped the names of their dogs. haha. Sooshin (which was Tae's pet), Rap Monie (joon's dog), Gureum (Koo's dog) and Ddosun (Jimin's pet (cat?)). Anyway, it's just endlessly funny to me. haha

The song dope is basically saying 'this is our style', 'you're the ones that are actually copying us' etc cause bts received a lot of allegations for plagiarism and copying other groups. In terms of namjoon's part n such I suggest u watch dkdktv explanation to this song.

I believe Blood Sweat & Tears is the first song they do this, but they have videos where BTS react to their MVS for the first time. Theres like a short one of Jimin & Jhope reacting to Dope, but 'blood, sweat & tears' i believe is the first one where they all officially sit down and react to the MV. (feel free to correct me if im wrong). Maybe you could watch those too if you havent seen them yet. Personally theres so many good videos, i also love watching behind the scenes of the MVS too. Theres just so much to watch !

They say 'this is bangtan style" and "not like those lying wacks" and other similar lyrics. At the time, not long before this era, they were accused of copying other groups style etc.. which of course they didn't but nasty hastags were trended about them etc. The lyrics and theme to this song are partly hitting back at that. Also when they performed it live, Hobi had to sensor his part due to the sort of sweary lyrics so he inserted all their pet names into it instead 😂

They switched to mostly pop during their love yourself era which I think is fitting. This youth trilogy and wings album are like the bridge between old school bts and new school bts. According to bang pd, this shift towards to soft Melodys and showing vulnerable sides in this album was already planned. The shift that was not pre planned was during love yourself era.

It was originally worded as 'I need you friend', but it just didn't sound right, so the lyrics ended up getting changed and girl just happened to be the one that fit the best.
