Hi guys.. I’m Saudi and let me tell you something the summer here is crazy hot and the winter is freezing I don’t know how we handle that but I think we got used to it😂. I wasn’t interested in bts when they did their concert at that time (what was I thinking) anyway I remember the Saudi Army were so excited and happy to see them preforming live and most of them went to the stadium in the morning even though the concert started at 7pm! And for the QOTD: I’m addicted to coffee.. it’s funny because I’m having hot coffee right now in the cold weather ☕️

Saudi Arabia is always hot, when people go do pilgrimage it's always hot. BTS made history by performing there, as you said Saudi Arabia is a bit more conservative country and the stadium king Fahd was opened for the first time for ladys to come in. I remember there was a big controversy then in Saudi Arabia (mainly some toxic men) about letting girls attend concerts and all. However Saudi Arabia were happy to have BTS, they even changed the lighting of one of their buildings to purple. I still also remember the buffet they did that day for armys who were there for the soundcheck, they were treated like royalties. There are extra scenes that weren't included in this dvd where they're learning how to speak arabic and how they should tone down their performance that were included in the Saudi Arabia dvd.

I would say coffee since I will drink it either cold or hot. I only enjoy tea if it's sweet iced tea (and it has be heavy on the sweet part! lol). Though mostly my go to hot drink is hot chocolate!

QOTD: I used to be a heavy boba tea drinker but now I have americano with half/half every morning! This concert was also live streaming on Vlive. I guess that's why Jin was checking with staffs when off the stage. I was trying to watch this on Vlive that day when I was in the office lol

OMG I still remember that day clearly!!😭🔥 that’s when I became an Army. I wasn’t a fan of them so I didn’t attend the concert (still regret it😔) but anyway I was so curious about them because they had so much influence and fans in here Saudi and all over the world therefore I watched the whole performance live stream and I was amazed and shocked by the energy and excitement that they bring I didn’t get bored at all and after that I got really interested about them💜💜.

Yh they changed a few things in their concert to be more respectful to Saudi Arabia's culture. A few things I can think of us in Baepsae, instead of hip thrusting they just did hearts. I know Jimin put a scarf around his gold mic since in Islamic culture men aren't suppose to wear gold. A lot of the female staff even wore long dresses as to not show skin. At the end of Every concert when the members bow to Army (Koreans also bow when they meet someone) they didn't do it in Saudi Arabia because in Islam you only bow to God not people. They even paused their sound check and rehearsals when it was time to do prayers. It's amazing how Bighit are very serious about educating their staff members and how BTS will learn everything they need to know when they come to a foreign country.

"They probably also considered that as the 1st foreign artist, the people in Saudi Arabia probably didn't have as many standards of comparison for what a live performance is like" I am from Saudi arabia and we had a lot of foreign artists perform in Our country before BTS. BTS were the first foreign artist to perform in a stadium in our country! But before them a lot of American artists performed and Korean artists too like Stray kids and Super Junior. So people in Saudi arabia have standards too for a live performances. We don't live in a desert.

Yeah 😆they were having a bit of trouble with the translator they had there. That's why jin asked the the translator to be more lively . There's actually a clip of JK giving a speech like few sentences and the translator said it in two words . His reaction was hilarious 🤣 I bought the saudi arabia concert when it was live on vlive .I'm not to sure if it's still there if you guys want to watch it one day.

for the Saudi concert they definitely did make changes to adapt to their concert, such as not hip-thrusting in Baepsae to be more modest and not bowing at the end since it'd be disrespectful to their religion

You guys remember? in 2019 they spent their own time for the vocation and also film the Vlog for us too. After they got back they went to Newzealand to filmed Bon voyage 4. The VCR for the final concert and the concert in SaudiArabia it was after their vocation, and Bon voyage. Hmm well that what I note but if someone know exactly when please let me know.

Yes, família the VCR appears on the DVD and such, i think you guys forgot but the first thing in the disk 1 was the Chicago Concert and showed the VCR, so if you guys wanna watch the Seoul concert i approve 👍hehe Also, there's a bangtan bomb I think about the Jimin's birthday that shows more of it if you guys want to see!!

I was going to comment the same. I was really touched as they were really mindful. Just to add on/add more explanation 6. the boys modified most choreography to make sure nothing is offensive. So the performance were toned down, no abs showing during fake love and less intimate choreography. 7. BigHit had educated its staff on the customs of the country and even though they did not have to abide by the dress code as foreigners; they did it out of respect! 8. Arab ARMYs reported that the band had stopped their rehearsals earlier in the day when they heard the Azaan ( which is a prayer delivered from mosque through speakers) 9. As the last modification, bts did not bow to the audience at all, Because arabs have a similar part in their daily prayers called “rokou” & they only bow in front of Allah & not human beings. Also on that day I found a lot of comments from Saudi armys at how respectful the boys were and the whole staff and it warmed my heart. 😭 I’m stanning them forever

Yes familia actually, the members and their staff actually changed a few things. 1. In Islam culture, men are not supposed to wear gold, as JIMIN's mic is gold, he covered it with a scarf. 2. In Islam, we only bow to Allah( GOD), but KOREANS bow when they greet, e.t.c, but in Saudi, the members didn't bow. 3. In BAEPSAE, JHOPE refrained from doing his thrust. 4. The female staff wore ABAYA (which is a long dress that covers the whole body worn by women). 5. They do this in any foreign country, but they learned a few things to say in ARABIC. 6. I'm not sure if it's at the SUADI CONCERT (I think so tho), but the soundcheck music/rehearsals was paused when the ADHAN started to call the prayer.
