paldogangsan is basically impossible to expect a non-Korean speaker to understand so don't worry if it was confusing! it's even hard for Koreans to understand different dialects/slang they're not familiar with, hence the theme of this song. I heard the person or people who made the series have been working on it at least 3 years and you can tell how much hard work, dictation and love they put into it. I’ve been trying to help spread it around because I think more ARMYs need to hear what’s in those videos. Hi Familia. When you react to Skool Luv affair, please react to the extended version. I was looking at the discography at bighit's website and i couldn't see Miss Right in the list of songs in the album, and i dont want you to miss it. It's one of my most fave bts songs up until today. It is so easy to listen to. I remember they sang it in their epilogue concert, and boy, we were singing along to the whole song. It was such a memorable moment.

actually all their early albums are influenced by hip hop music. Rapline takes a huge role, they have always been so invested in producing and writing music for the group, which is extremely difficult. As you can tell now that the rest of the members are older they have all learned how to do it aswell as their knowledge in music grew over time.

You must have been concentrating so much on the lyrics that you didn't notice that lyric video for paldogangsan was wrong. there is a version with just the rapline, but this one included all the members. please do watch the explained for this song!

The early albums are very rap heavy. The rappers really had a lot of experience coming in and the concept was hip hop, plus the rappers wrote their own bars and part of their thing was "our artists contribute to the work" so they were heavily featured. Now as you can see it's very much reversed and often on titles and in b-sides, the rappers don't get a lot of time (I think Hobi got like 7 seconds and Yoongi got 9 in Dynamite?) so as a fan of their rap, I'd like to see it even out more. But I do love hearing the vocal line more (especially Tae and Jin). We didn't get a lot of them back in the day. We have such a beautiful vocal line who can do so much and vocal tracks are a little more commercial friendly, I think so I get it (and really enjoy it!). But personally, I love their old hip hop sound. Songs like Dis-ease and Respect really kind of harken back to that and I appreciate it so much. haha The next album has even more love songs. It's cute but yeah, different if you're new to that part of their music. Also, you should check out a live of Paldogangsan. There's an OT7 version where they all sing (they fudge a little about their origins but still). haha. The choreo is really fun cause they're like battling. It's like Yoongi and the maknaes v. Hobi, Jin, and RM and then RM breaks them up at the end. It's a lot of fun!

I highly recommend watching DKDKTV (They're Korean YouTubers named Danny and David) explain the Satoori Rap. I am not Korean but Yoongi's dialect which makes up the region/province that has Daegu (his hometown along with Taehyung) and Busan (JK and Jimin's hometown) is a bit of a tough guy sort of language. This province is called the Gyeongsang province which has been split between North and South but people from those areas speak similarly. Koreans say that hearing people from that area talk makes them think that they're fighting with each other. I don't know much about Gwangju (where Hobi is from) but it is in the Jeolla province. I read a book by a Korean American who talked about Korean communities in the US and he mentioned that his parents being from Gwangju was looked down upon by other Koreans from Seoul. Anything outside of Seoul is considered country since Seoul is the center of everything and the biggest commercial center with high powered jobs and industries. It's kind of like Paris or London or Tokyo. I've seen people joke that people outside of Seoul think men from Seoul are pampered and stuck up and not really "everyday men" types. Namjoon is from Ilsan and Seokjin is from Gwacheon which is in the Gyeonggi province meaning that it surrounds the capital of Seoul. Most people from there speak in a Seoul dialect. DKDKTV also has a video that talks about dialects. Jimin mentioned that when he first moved to Seoul from Busan, people gave him a hard time at school because of his Busan accent. Jungkook also mentioned that his Busan accent can be thick at times, especially when he was younger and he's not good at Seoul standard dialect. The Seoul dialect is comparable to the American California accent. Most idols, politicians, and celebrities in Korea use that dialect because it's seen as more professional which is why it's always fun hearing idols slip into their normal speaking voice when they are in a relaxed setting. There are a lot of moments in BTS related content where the contextualized captions will tell us when they're speaking dialect and it's usually when they're joking around. Jimin, Jungkook, and Hobi do it the most but there are times when Yoongi speaks in his dialect, usually when he is drunk or upset about something.

I really appreciate this, it's so nice to go back and appreciate the albums as a whole instead of individual songs on shuffle . you're right in saying that this album is heavily connected to mots7! as well as the title tracks being the reverse of each other, yoongi took the sample of joon's intro to use in his solo song on mots7, interlude: shadow! yoongi talks about it a bit in the break the silence movie, if u remember, and also yesterday it was one year since shadow was released! Also, i really wanna reiterate the fact that these boys came from nothing. when they were writing these lyrics, (escpecially we on) they were still all sharing one room. they had so much belief that they would make it big that they immortalized that promise in their music. they KNEW they had to make it, because there literally wasn't any other option but the succeed. What i find adorable is that jk was still in high school when he was singing all these love songs about high school romance, idk i just think it's so cute and probably got him a lot of attention in school despite how shy he was back then <3 Also, there are a few references to 'runch randa' which was namjoon's rap name before he debuted! I really really 100% totally and utterly can't express enough how much you guys should react to live performances of their earlier music. you see the passion in their lyrics, now imagine that passion on stage, when there are thousands of armys watching. they go insane and it's great! obviously i know u guys have a schedule so reacting to concerts will probably have to wait but pls do consider it!!

Guys, the color coded lyrics for Paldogangsan are a bit wrong because this version is of all the members, it was originally a predebut rap line song but they readjusted and it's all the members there! I really encourage you to read song credits alongside the albums (on your own even) to understand the BTS of BTS. Some of the masterpieces were produced by the members and almost all their songs had involvement (writing, composing) of the members. Obviously, their earlier albums were VERY rapline focused but as they progress you'll see how the vocal line gradually starts showing up more frequently :) This will also make you familiarise with some common BH inhouse team names. They all have different music "colours" (Ex:, PDogg, HissNoise, Slow Rabbit, Supreme Boi etc)
