With the blue hair it makes him look more muted( though if he’s a shapeshifter that could be useful if he’s like sulking around in the dark.) Also the red compliments the green/blue of his skin since they are naturally complimentary colors. Which for me comes off as more visually striking. I’d like to think that nature makes something brilliantly colored to warn people that they are dangerous, and that’s exactly what his hair does. But those are my thoughts on it. He’s an awesome character and you know him best. So if his hair changes that’s cool too!
