♡ Mods Available on Mod.io + TOS Reminder
Added 2025-03-25 18:23:18 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Just an announcement regarding my mods' availability on Mod.io and a TOS reminder.
♡ MOD.IO AND CONSOLE MODS
Those of you who use Mod.io may have noticed that some of my mods are now available on that platform.
With my permission, Eclip5e has graciously offered to port my mods over to Mod.io and is also in the process of submitting them to be approved for consoles! So, for any console users, you may be able to use my mods on there soon! yaaay!
Thank you to Eclip5e for offering to do this for me as I know it is incredibly time-consuming and tedious. I really appreciate it! ♡
You can find my mods on their Mod.io profile.
♡ REMINDER REGARDING MY MODS TOS
On an unrelated note, I wanted to remind people of my TOS regarding my mods.
I have recently run into the issue of my meshes and textures being used as bases for others’ mods without credit, again. While these can be honest mistakes, this issue still hurts creators/modders and discourages us to continue sharing our creations as well.
If you wish to use any of my mods as a base for your own PUBLIC mods, please ASK PERMISSION FIRST. Many of my mods are based on myself and other people I know in person (such as friends, my partner, etc.), so there are some presets I do not wish to be edited for public use as changes may come across as “fixing” someone’s actual features.
If you wish to edit any of my mods for PERSONAL use, you do not need to ask my permission, regardless of the preset. If you wish to upload it publicly eventually, again, you must ask my permission before you do so.
While I acknowledge I do not own Larian’s assets, as I use their meshes as a base for my own (as many modders do), I do spend many hours, days, and weeks editing the meshes and creating my custom textures (I paint these on my own, I do not just use vanilla textures for everything so it takes a lot of effort and time); when my mods are extracted and then edited without my permission or even some credit, it feels like my hard work is unappreciated and makes modding no longer enjoyable. I am sure almost every modder feels this way.
I have been fairly lenient and patient when I have run into this issue and have either privately or publicly requested credit be granted when using my mods as a base. However, going forward, I will no longer be requesting and instead reporting when I see no credit is granted and leave it to the platform moderators to make their decision. I believe this is fair, as I have a disclaimer under every post I make in large, bold font and I have also reiterated it on this announcement. It takes 10 seconds to mention my original mod or my username and link it back to me. This issue should not be happening repeatedly and it is becoming extremely frustrating.
! IMPORTANT NOTE !
If you suspect that someone has used my mods as a base without credit, please DO NOT harass them or leave rude comments. Just let me know on here, Nexus or my discord and I will do further investigating to confirm whether this is the case or not.
Please also do not try to find any modders who may have made this mistake in the past and leave rude comments or messages. I prefer to approach this subject respectfully and calmly and do not wish for others to speak on my behalf.
AGAIN, I do not condone any negative behaviour towards any creator/modder on my behalf and do not wish to promote any toxicity in the Baldur’s Gate 3 modding community, so please let me deal with it in the appropriate ways myself!
Thank you! ♡
