Blazing Soul in-combat is working perfectly! The only thing I might tweak if I have the time would be to make her damage with a bit more of an even split between magical damage and atk damage. Kinda weird she has the potential to have the highest ATK and M.ATK in the game and only her self heal uses her M.ATK.
Anyway, I just finished both the maps(10 new maps for this update, 1 for the Arena's insides, 5 for the desert, 4 for the volcano) AND I’ve finished the “skeleton” of the quest. (The triggers, variables, and other boring stuff to make it work. The quest is working right now, it just has no text.)
All that remains now is to add the text and the three scenes!
I just wanna mention that I hope Blazing Soul’s dungeons aren’t... boring. I’m trying to make each spirit’s dungeon unique, and Blazing Soul’s is actually divided into two! A desert and a volcano. (Party member Blazing Soul is actually unlocked when initially meeting her, so you don’t need to finish her questline to unlock her.)
Desert gameplay is the one I’m actually a bit wary of. It’s a desert. It’s big. There’s sand and not much else. In my fear of making the desert too annoying, it’ll have the lowest encounter rate in the game by far. Thematically, it’s perfect, but thematic and fun gameplay aren’t always walking side-by-side.
The volcano is straightforward. The floor is lava. Step on the lava and take heavy damage. Step on the safe rocks and you’ll be fine.
Oh, and there is a free Sprinkler right before meeting Blazing Soul! That’s nice, right?
As of the moment I’m writing this: No plans to delay the update! It should be released at the beginning of the next month as expected!
