I have even gotten around to making a ref doll for her. Learning how to make basic hair models in blender really helps making design doll assets.

It's expected for that to happen. Even for me where I have to find all the references and simply cut down to the best result I want in a creating a new character. If you have to go back and forth, means your seeking perfection on your craft. Keep it up!
